Grief can ravage us like no other. I was recovering from losing our baby son and found my husband who died by suicide, leaving me our 5 children to raise alone. No warning, no signs. Just 4 weeks later was my mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer, so I was thrown into her care, while in shock & barely able to function & right after she died, my best friend died suddenly. I went from a wonderful, secure life, being so lucky to have such amazing people so close to the world shattering and facing getting 5 kids through more loss than any child should endure. Processing multiple grief and getting children through it is not easy. His honest, comical explanation of hugs during grief...I love it. So accurate!

I do feel your pain, as I had also a happy secure life only as recent as 2018. However in 2019 my husbands mother died suddenly. He was devastated. I had to pick up the pieces and it exhausted me. Shortly after in April 2020 my own beautiful mom died suddenly as well from undiagnosed cancer in hospital. I am still in pieces and I have gone from being an attractive, outgoing happy go lucky girl, to a downtrodden, miserable, dowdy, overweight mess. The grief has consumed me and I am just surviving not living.

@@desertrose1226 So sorry for your loss 💗 Losing your mother (at any age) is very traumatic, as I discovered 9 years ago. Please know that she would only want for you to be happy and living your best and healthiest life 💗 I discovered Anita Moorjani's books a few years ago and these helped me a lot. I think of my lovely mum every day and am so grateful for the time we had and all that she taught me. Try to focus on living your happiest, healthiest life knowing how happy your mum will be for you. Be kind to yourself, self-care is so important. I find walking in nature is very restorative. Reading is also helpful. Sending love 💗

Might sound crazy but I've been immersed in past life regression lately. You might want to seek out one to have a session with bc things that happen in this life tend to reflect a resonance of past. There are reasons, but they're up to you to find to understand for healing to then enter. Wishing you the best.

Wonderful interview. Lorraine Kelly was so deeply respectful and Bob Geldof so open hearted on dealing with his grief. I loved how Bob hugged Lorraine at the end of their interview. Such an awesome man, with a deep, deep kind loving heart and so inspiring for others who have gone through loss far too young. I was seeking inspiration after losing 11 special people within 3 years and then my Husband of 30 yrs left for a younger woman. That is what brought me here. I am very inspired.

Suec C yes!!! Very charitable empathetic man and started even with raising the charity for the famine in Ethiopia by orchestrating why they didn’t getting that together to raise money. 10 years or so later his wife was having an affair with the lead singer of INXS & he found out and divorced her. They were going through a horrible custody battle, and during that time, a child was born of his ex-wife & her lover. Michael committed suicide, and then three years later Paula overdosed on heroine. That left Tiger Lily and orphan. Bob got his three girls full-time after the death of their mom and he also took on the beautiful child that Paula and Michael had together, Who was The love child of an affair his wife had. It’s one heck of a huge heart. Love the way that Bob looks at the whole situation and he says That Tiger Lily is a beautiful child. She needed to be with her sisters and didn’t want them separated. He’s right and honestly did the right thing by keeping Tiger Lilly with her sisters ( Half sisters- but who likes to use that term with family anyway?).

I raised his son but the happy was torn from me. Forever. I will have days that hurt so bad it is a wonder to breath. My son was shot in the face. I feel him around me all time...so alone in crowds. My very beloved sister, Denise, died from cervical cancer last October after a brave four year fight at the age of 45. We were extremely close and I feel I have lost my soul mate. To lose her was absolutely devastating, and I can empathise and identify with much of how Bob Gedolf describes his grief and how he copes. 'It finds an available space in the mind.'These things assault you.' 'Unimaginable.' Though Denise was my sister, and still is in my awareness, I cannot imagine the pain of losing a child. Bob Gedolf looks extremely forlorn, lost and confused, yet amazingly brave and forthright in his grief. My condolences to you and all your family, Bob x May your troubled, beautiful daughter now R.I.P.

What a horrible tragedy for Sir Bob Geldof, this man of a pillar is such a beautiful soul to have strength taking on so, so much overwhelming obstacles in ones life? I believe Bob to be a very kindhearted man with strength as a pillar, but even pillars break and can be molded again having strength. I am aware and acknowledge Sir Bob Geldof tragedies. As we all; like he, have obstacles and storms in our lives, we battle them, get through it, and when we do that, we overcome it! This is what makes us strong to battle others storms in our lives; big, small challenging ones. I know I've had my share. For as Sir Bob Geldof, that is why I call him "a pillar". God Bless You Sir Bob Geldof!!

Total nonsense, you're suggesting her father Michael's parents, siblings, family and country, did not love her or care about her. She belongs with her grandparents, not him. He is not her biological father. Another life being destroyed by Geldolf he needs to STOP.

She is being brought up with her siblings and that is important for her... Paula Yates was never called Geldof and we will never know facts... I'm merely praising him and his wife for putting Tiger-Lilly's needs first.

@@robertgrant1837So you'd drag her away from her siblings that she'd grown up with to live with virtual strangers??? Idiot. What damage would that do? Hutchences family should have respected that & put her best interests first instead of using her as a replacement for their dead son.

i have always worked in central london and for years i have always seen Bob, he has always been a lovely man, someone who seems genuine and sincere, life has given him lots of trials and tribulations and i am amazed at how he has managed to carry on. I also remember Paula, she was glamorous lady but of a colder nature, Bob i think is more suited for his present lady, i hope that the future for himself and his family will be a happier and better one. Shame about Peaches, she was an intelligent lady, but we all have our times to go and if we dont go one way we go another so maybe she was only meant to be here for a little while.

the one thing I like about Bob Geldof is his ability to articulate deep feelings and emotions so well. I've heard him before talking about Paula and his ability to capture raw human emotion and express it so effectively in words always impresses me a lot

My heart goes out to the guy, losing Paula was bad enough and I'm sure he felt grief over Michael too but I don't think he expected he'd ever be outliving his daughter. Poor guy. But he's soldiering on. Good luck to him.

Bob has shown a resilience strength plus dignity throughout all the heartbreaking grief he has had to endure. Keeping it real and being brave to share these feelings so close to his heart with all of us. I wish him and his family the very best for the future. To endure such heartache is unimaginable and therefore I wish to send him and his family so many healing hugs. I also admire how he praises and appreciates his band members!!! A hard road to go along in the public eye,. I know he holds Paula and Peaches close to his heart forever! My admiration is ten fold. I care a great deal. Much love to Bob. Thank you

What a mature and intelligent man! He's been through a lot and keeps going. The lady in his life has helped him a lot. Bob needs Love in his life. I listened to his heartfelt interview on 60 minutes from way back and he loved Paula like I loved once and both of them left us. They way he described it is EXACTLY IDENTICAL as to how it feels. Everything is OFF, nothing has meaning or is exciting. It's just terrible losing your love. Then to turn around and adopt the child of his ex wife and her lover. He's so kind Peaches!!! OMG he lost his beautiful daughter. What a horrible, devastating blow. God, 100%, had and has a plan for Bob!!! I should remind myself of this fact. I suffered so much with loss but we can't see ourselves in the mix of it. How strong some of us are! Why them and not us? How to carry on? We just find a way. Keep going forward. Bob I hope he sees this! Your a wonderful human being! May the Lord bless you and keep you and ALL YOUR LOVED ONES. JESUS PROTECT THEM ALL SO BOB DOESN'T GO THROUGH MORE. PLEASE. AMEN❤
