Brad was wearing the same outfit at a talk he did in my home town of Stevenage… lovely guy, followed him round the Alps in 2012 and he took time for a personal chat in Stevenage and was quite open about his financial problems. TVL was masterful today. Used all their pieces right, dealt with adversity, made good decisions. Let’s remember, Pog won Strade-Bianche on an 80km solo. Even without bad luck, Jonas could have taken a hit today. Kudos on just a brilliant ride.

@@birgitmelchior8248 1. If he had worked with Pog and then had any difficulty at all, he risked losing more time more time to Pog. Just a terrible risk/reward ratio. Staying even with Pog was a huge victory and sets him up for the big mountains. 2. Neither you nor I can speak for “most fans,” but everyone I know knows that this is a three week race and appreciates the way it plays out over time. Root for whoever/whatever you like, but do nite that Jonas has won two TDF in a row by cracking Pog in the last half of the race. He has to do what works for him.
