I'm not opposed to the likes of a brand new stadium as long as it's within like the same location as where Old Trafford is based (obviously not in the exact same placement as where the stadium, otherwise you would have to tear it down, basically next door if that makes sense). I think it's an opportunity to just not bring in a whole new era for Manchester United, but still maintain the old era. If the plans are true where they would build a new stadium in the open space surrounding Old Trafford, like where the car park is etc - That's more easier and yet it doesn't make any difference as such on locating to a completely new area that is far away from the old one. Also if reusing the old one, it be perfect for the U18s, U21s, and the womens - so they are playing in a stadium where players play on grounds that so many legends have made their name and influences them to keep playing for the club and making their own name and legacy.

The thing is with this is finding the space to build such a large structure that is close enough. As it is it's doubtful it would be possible where Old Trafford is or to even expand much because of how close it is to a train track on the south stand unless you did it vertically.

The Owners were the ones who stop the project by using the excuse of the rail track complications. As stated previously, the design has already been laid out for completion of the stadium by original designers, to finish before the train track but the owners compromised by installed the 3rd tier cos the fans were complaining about the capacity at that time. Alls well we like to think that once the owners depart or bring in SJR and his team we can address the layout for the necessary expansion of the South stand, East & West quadrant issue ASAP because Wembley or Man City's Etihad is to far to deal with the fan base, we're sure that can be achieved with minimal fuss, going by our walk around the stadium experience by observation. It's important that The Stadium Expansion Should Not Exceed the Railway Track! We feel in 18 month to 2 years by copying Real Madrid approach with the right people it can be achieved in line with progress on the pitch! Please Share!
