@@JamesLaughlinOfficial l hope so. But the mess that the last government left behind will take a while to undo .... three years is not long enough. The coalition must stand firm with the people of New Zealand supporting it. Anyway it can be done if given the mandate to turn it around just like the mandate given to arden. In fact she would have done it except that she's too eager to become a "super star" instead of a prime minister. She's not a real politician. She doesn't have what it takes to be a prime minister ... and didn't listen to the people. She's the one who made this mess and then ran off and left it to hipkins to clean up the mess. Hipkins also had no idea of running the country. Anyway the last government was running out of time when arden left.

Really, she was the greatest throughout the pandemic. Never once did we have overflowing morgues, ambulances backing up or patients being treated in hospital corridors like we saw in many other countries. She well and truly saved lives by making hard, some times very unpopular decisions. The businesses types of course hated being told by the government what to do, especially from a younger woman. The funny thing is when the rest of the world was cancelling sports events or having empty stadiums, with bars and restaurants shut, we had tens of thousands of people down at the Auckland waterfront celebrating St Patrick’s Day with the winning America’s Cup race in stunning weather. Good times and the hospitality businesses certainly wasn’t complaining.

@JamesLaughlinOfficial He did good for the economy not so much on Maori relations but that's expected for every National leader. He's right about Peter Sharpels and Tania Turia, they're actually good people. Key lead NZ through the recession of 2008, having to increase GST and housing prices in order to avoid selling one of NZ's SOE--Kiwibank. The reason people hate John Key, particularly Pacific people (I'm Pacific myself) is identity politics. Some Pacific people are hung up on the Dawn Raid era of the 1980s that led then National PM Rob Muldoon to authorize NZ Police to raid every home in NZ that housed illegal immigrants of Pacific heritage who were abusing their overseas work permit. But that was over 40 years ago and Pacific people in NZ has made a significant difference in NZ mainly in sports. Identity politics is just toxic. Anyway, do I think this govt will do good? Yes, economically they'll do well. They're already getting things done before Christmas in order to restore the economy. The coalition govt of National, NZ 1st and Act is brilliant. Three leaders with different personalities, from different backgrounds, united to make one NZ. I'm tired of the division caused by the last Labour govt where they focused on dumb things such as gender pronouns, carbon emissions, Vax mandates and Maori first. I'm proud to be kiwi again with our values being recognized again.

In the midst of the covid crisis, we had the right PM at the right time and faced our greatest existential threat since probably the 1940s. Jacinda didn't crown herself Prime Minister, the people of NZ voted for her and in her second election as Labour leader won the biggest landslide in the history of MMP. To do that before she'd turned 40 is something eventually all real NZders might be slightly fair about. As for the so- called divisions in society, I think largely they are over- played. I mix with all sorts of Kiwis. I find they all want essentially the same things. But hey, I love the place and get sick of all the whinging that eminates sadly from my own age group and cultural background.

Key initiated a flag referendum that proposed dropping the Union Jack and he selected two identical flags in the final four, bar a slight change in colour. Yet he reinstated Knighthoods based on the British system and soon after him and Bill English became ‘Sirs’. Key was a true narcissist. He wasn’t nicknamed the smiling assassin from his corporate trading days for no reason.

@@JamesLaughlinOfficial Hi James 1. Key was raised by a solo mum in a state house in Christchurch together with his sister 2. He did a finance degree and worked as a finance corporate trader in the USA. He’s on record as stating he selected his degree and career solely based on what would make him the wealthiest. 3. He never took a salary when Prime Minister. He did the PM role for his ego. 4. He sold off 49% of our power companies with no public mandate and despite those power companies having over 10% ROI. I.e. financially it made no sense. 5. He brought back knighthoods then promptly became a ‘sir’. The reality James is that the overwhelming majority of ‘successful’ people that reach the ‘pinnacle’ of the corporate world are ‘dog eat dog’ narcissists. Just like the majority of people in careers like nursing or paramedic having a different personality profile. Even the smugness of him stating how he used his power as PM to land Jacinda’s dad a couple of cushy overseas posting is quite revealing ego wise. It also had zero relevance as to the quality of Jacinda’s leadership when PM.

Power & like most people money. She is heavily tied up with WEF/Black rock and the UN. Was simple really. Push 100% covid vaccines (blackrock biggest investor in pfizer) sign up to uneconomic UN climate policies (reason to borrow billions) pay said billions to black Rock by making an estimated $42 billion deal with them. And then there is the Iwi payments another great way for money to disappear. Once tax payer money is paided to iwi it is no longer the business of the public to know what is done with it. These payments along with the maori elites massive share in primary industries profits do not go anyway near or benefit the common everyday maori. Basically climate and iwi means money is on the move. She will go down with a legacy as the most hated prime minister in nz history who turned her own supporters against her, divided a country and left it broke. So Labor successfully accessed the mine and removed all the bodies, right? Ah no they didn’t, they spent 10’s of millions of dollars finding out exactly what the experts told the Key government that it was too dangerous and that even if they did try to access they could only go safe far safely so an absolute waste of tax payer money. Interest that there was a number of the families who lost loved ones in the mine who just wanted it left alone and it to be used as a memorial but no they were not listened to.

He isnt a bad person allround however as a country's leader he isn't someone i would want just like every NZ parliament before him mismanaged more than they have done good our infrastructure is evidence of that like all politicians they use the peoples tax money without any real consequences so they have less concerns when they waste over 30 million dollars of things such as a Flag referendum, or in Jacindas case Over 30 Million for consultants fees for one single Bridge, spending mass amounts of unnecessary money during Covid putting our country into the biggest debt we have ever had in NZ 🙄😮‍💨

No Different to any other they give us talking points to get our votes then when they get in they change things they didn't lobby for and pull back on things they did. And they are supposed to give the people some extra money via tax cuts yet they put rates up more they are putting $25 on car rego + $25 next year who know what other hidden cost they will spring and there goes that tax cut won't be seeing that at all I'd imagine.
