I've worked in the public, private, voluntary sectors, been unemployed extensively, worked freelance, been self-employed and now I'm a director of my own limited company. The public sector by far was the least efficient, politically correct, and prioritised quotas over ability to do the job. You only have to try dealing with your local authority to discover that around 80% of the staff are unemployable elsewhere. Many people I know want to leave the UK and Europe because they can see its rapid decline as it embraces diversity, inclusion and equality quotas rather than real talent. I must admit that I'm also reconsidering my future here.
