There are enough people that actually want to do jury duty that this could actually be feasible. Edit: I realized that a "jury of people that want to do jury duty" and a "jury of the defendants peers" are very differnt and this is infeasable.

@@adithyastren6218 I actually believe in jury duty, and there were times when I know I did a good service, and I felt good about it. But the system where I live is so disorganized that I know some people who never get called, while other people (like me) get called every single year, and it's always in a court that's miles away instead of one that's more convenient. So it's hard not to get cynical about it.

Yeah, sounds cliche but they should "knight" nurses, caregivers and people who keeps social work and healthcare running and not rich actors (who aren't even that good imo, but that's another topic). But as you already said: You can't take any of this serious anyway. I wouldn't accept "knighthood" because it's stupid and ancient, makes no sense and actually rather transports the wrong message about which people are really important for the country.
