"Gravity" is all about Jonghyun. In SHINee, he was the "Moon" and Onew was the "Sun". Jonghyun also hosted a radio show for three years called "Blue Night". In addition, it's when the brothers are each alone, that thoughts of Jonghyun come to mind. He is the "gravity" that holds them all together and, in the end (at death), they will all be reunited again.

Gravity is actually a song tribute for Jonghyun! The lyrics have references to Blue Night (his nightly radio show), End of a Day (his song), Selene 6.23, Orbit (my favourite Jjong song), etc etc. Knowing that the song itself was actually written by a Shawol/Jjong fan makes it much more special and memorable. There's a live performance kzbin.info/www/bejne/mF6af6OLrbxsmNU They did do a little roadtrip reality show called SHINee's 15m kzbin.info/www/bejne/aXuYdJ2JiJuWnMk There are performances for 10x, Hard, Juice, End of a Day (Taemin's cover of Jjong's song), and a very impressive live band version of Sherlock. The full 1 hour show is worth watching and all these performances can be found on KZbin as well. There's some cute content this comeback, such as Taemin & Euisoo (his manager/soulmate) appearing on The Manager, SHINee on Amazing Saturday, tiktok challenges, vlogs and Q&As. Their new social media admin (ADMINee) has been incredible at keeping Shawols fed and up to date. I'd personally recommend cheese stick's video for their 15th anniversary livestream kzbin.info/www/bejne/eWWal5iabamEbZY As well as the 1st episode of SHINee's new youtube show 샤.계.한 (SHINee-ing) kzbin.info/www/bejne/gn63aZiuq96gbdU even they don't know what kind of show it's meant to be lmao, but it's the usual SHINee chaos. Apparently more episodes on the way, so perhaps that could be a fun thing to react to...

This is not a political statement about pollution, global warming, or anything like that and the plastic bags are AI. They are used as a metaphor. "The Feeling": SHINee's name in Korean means "receiving light". Therefore they are often called shining SHINee. Not only do they receive light, but give it back to SHAWOLs, like a reflection or sharing of energy. SHINee told us this song, a pre-release for their 8th, full-length album, "Hard", was a "gift' for SHAWOLs. They sang it for the first time at their recent fan meeting. The song has a message of hope and happiness despite dark times or periods in our lives, in addition to new beginnings as they start the next phase of their career. They will walk alongside us on this journey, as they always have, giving and receiving light to clear up the dark and difficult times. Therefore, there are specific metaphors to illustrate the above point. The map, tiny at first, continues to grow and expand, much like SHINee's career & growth (listing their various songs [solo & group work]) and SHINee World, as there are SHAWOLs all over the globe and this shows their love and appreciation for ALL SHAWOLs spread around the world -- everybody, national and international alike, spreading like fire and ever growing. The plastic bags -- trash -- start off clear and gradually gain color, pastels at first and then burst into vibrant colors that shower the brothers. For me, this is a metaphor that shows you can conquer the "trash" in your life by letting it go and turning the experience gained into something positive and vibrant to restore hope and happiness. Shower that plain, colorless trash with light and it will reflect many different colors -- like a prism (one of their song titles) and then you can find beauty and happiness even in the midst of difficulties, as light reveals all and cleanses. You will also notice the brothers are always looking up to the sky. That is where their brother, Jonghyun, resides. He is still very much a part of them and included in all they do. When they are all running on the ridge, they automatically leave a spot open for Jonghyun, like they do sometimes in their choreos. Towards the end of the MV you see a magnificent sky vista -- again, a reference to Jonghyun. The ending where all the brothers are sitting in a square formation with the recording equipment illuminated by the light shining down on it, is yet another representation of Jonghyun still being very much the 5th member-brother and an integral part of their music and legacy.

If you're shocked by Minho's singing voice, then you should re-listen to some of his solo songs and watch some of SHINee's recent live performances. Although, Minho is the main rapper of the group, he still sings just as much as the other members. However, in the past, most of the time his voice was used as part the harmonies in SHINee's songs, so his voice wasn't highlighted in the same way as the other members. Although, in the past 4 or 5 years that has changed a lot. He does a lot more singing as a main vocalist in all of SHINee's songs. Minho has the deepest voice out of all the members, which is why he was made the main rapper. He says he often finds SHINee's songs to be really difficult for him because the other members have a lot higher range, so most of their songs are in a key that is hard for him to sing. Therefore, now that he has to cover more parts of their songs in order to compensate for the fact that they no longer have Jonghyun's main vocals, he has really worked on developing his voice and expanding his range. These days, even Minho can hold his own as a main vocalist in any of SHINee's songs. And, with this comeback, seeing as he also had to cover some of Onew's parts in their songs, Minho's voice is able to shine even more. You should now check out some live performances of the songs on their Hard album. SHINee have done lots of live stages of several of their new songs. They actually performed "Hard" and "Juice" at their SHINee World Concert VI (SWC6) in Seoul the week before their comeback, so anyone who was lucky enough to attend one of the 3 days of the concert, or anyone who has watched the fancam footage, got an advance preview of the songs. Plus, you can see a live performance of "Hard", "Juice" and "10X" if you watch their comeback stages. They recently got their 5th win on music shows. They are sweeping all the competition right now. Also, during their appearance on BoA's talk show, they performed an acapella version of "Like It" and a live performance of "Hard" and "Gravity." To hear a different version of "Hard," check out their "Hard live band version". And to see the choreography even better, don't miss their choom performance.

@Saddlemomma Жыл бұрын
With "Like It", I think (my speculations only) they are talking about the direction they are heading toward for their future -- the second part of their career, because "Hard", "The Feeling", and even parts of "Juice" are reaffirming their commitment to continue on and bring SHAWOLs with them. However, they are going to go forward in their own way, according to what and how they want to do it. "Hard" echoes several of their past title tracks and some of their solo work, especially Taemin's Advice with a lot of its symbolism and imagery: the piano theme, painted hands, the aggressive rhetoric about the fact that they can't be contained to one ideal/genre (symbolized by being trapped inside the piano but then destroy the piano and break free). We see a reference to Key's "Hate That" when Minho stands on the same pile of rocks as Key and Taeyeon with the same scenery and mood lighting; Onew's "Circle" represented by the round piano; Minho turning to "flames" (flaming charisma); Atlantis represented by the blue liquid flowing out of the piano and the blue waves crashing around Onew. The entire album seems to be reflecting upon the past and looking forward to the future -- a part of which will be becoming more free to be themselves and enjoy making music together -- music they want to do and will choose themselves and do it their way. All the while, SHAWOLs will stand alongside them in the journey sharing their love and support while SHINee shines their blue light upon them and embracing them.

I love this album! Gravity has a lot of Jonghyun references because the lyricist is a shawol and a blinger. Some of Jonghyun’s solo songs are in the lyrics: “End of a Day” and “You & I” … also the blue night reference because Jjong used to host a radio show called Blue Night. SHINee performed it for K-909… you could see Taemin was just trying to get through it without getting emotional…closed fist throughout. But the vocals were beautiful. Also, I think you’re appreciating Taemin’s vocals more because honestly you can tell he has been working HARD on them!! This whole comeback he has been absolutely stellar. You’re not the only one that’s noticed.

The whole reason why they chose "Hard" for their title track is because they wanted to show everyone that SHINee can do any genre, including hip-hop. Although, just to make sure you didn't forget that this was a SHINee song, they couldn't just do straight hip-hop. They had to create this hybride mashup of pop, rock and retro hip-hop, etc. to give this song that SHINee flavor. They killed this!! This will definitely be a contender for album of the year. You can't tell me that you're not singing "hard like a criminal, hard like the beat, hard like ma flow ..." over and over again in your head after hearing this song. LOL We can definitely add "Hard" to SHINee's earworm song list. And the rest of the songs on the album are just as catchy. This is totally an SM/SHINee song. It was wrote by Kenzie, who, as you may know, is an SM songwriter and producer that has wrote a large majority of SM songs. She even has her own studio at SM, that's how much she is involved in SM's sound. However, the SHINee members participate in all aspects of the songwriting and producing, as well. That's why it has that signature SM design, and, yet, it's also very uniquely SHINee. As the SHINee members have said, in the beginning of their career they did whatever they were told to do, however, now that they've been in the industry for more than 15 years, they have learned how to be their own artists, and it has afforded them the opportunity to now make their own decisions about their music and to participate in creating the songs and designing their albums, etc. They are now the ones in control. The fact that this song is nothing like anyone expects, and different than anything out there, is exactly what makes it a SHINee song. SHINee were designed to be SM Entertainment's experimental boy group, so everything they do is meant to be the first, and they are expected to create the trend. With every new song SHINee produces, it's supposed to be different than the last, so you will never hear the same style or sound from them. But it will somehow always have that SHINee feel. Notice how Key was singing through his clenched teeth in the last part of the song, when they were all dressed in black. And he still sounded perfect, while giving off the "Hard" vibes that the song required. Just one of the many unique elements of this song that only SHINee can pull off. This is really just SHINee going back to their roots. Before debut, SHINee was actually training to be a hip-hop group. However, as Key tells it, they just didn't have the swag to pull off hip-hop full time, so last minute SM decided to change up their style to the contemporary R&B style of "Replay" that they have now become known for. "Hard" just proves that SM wasn't wrong, and SHINee has no problem in the world of hip-hop. But their destiny and calling was to be a group that never ties themselves down to just one style or genre. They were meant to show the world that they can be diverse and unique and never do the same thing twice. With every release that SHINee has, they intentionally flip the script and change things up in the Kpop industry. That's why, when SHINee makes a comeback, everyone pays attention because they are looking to SHINee to show them what the industry's next song style and dance trend will be. It is actually said that within 3 months of SHINee making a comeback, you will see that same sound and dance style being duplicated across the industry with every comeback to follow, for both boy groups and girl groups. When SHINee does something, the industry takes note and follows suit. If you watch the full "SHINee's - 15m Roadtrip comeback show," you will get to see new performances of some of their classic hits, as well as a mini fan concert where they also perform their new songs, "Hard," "Juice" and "10X" live. And in between it all, you get to see Key, Minho and Taemin on a roadtrip camping excursion as they look back on their 15 year career. It was really fun. I encourage everyone to check it out. And to see them preparing for this comeback, watch Taemin and his manager Nam Eui Soo on The Manager TV show. You will get to see all 4 of the members in the dance studio practicing the choreography for "Hard." They showed a preview/short version of their dance practice video on the show. Yes, you only saw Onew in part of the "Hard" MV because he went on hiatus in the middle of filming and wasn't able to participate in the rest of the shoot. Unfortunately, Onew is currently on hiatus due to his health. It was announced June 9 when he was hospitalized for a short time that he would take a doctor recommended rest. Therefore, he won't be participating in any of their comeback activities, including the 3 day opening of their SHINee World Concert VI (SWC6) in Seoul that they held right before their comeback.

Yes i waited for this!!! About a repackage, Key said today there are currently no plans, which as a Shawol is not really surprising. Onew is still on health hiatus and they are going to avoid doing things without him if they can. The album/concerts were already too far along to stop when Onew had to pull the emergency break, but that doesn't apply to a repackage. And if you know SHINee you know they're not gonna vibe with doing stuff without a member so whatever they CAN delay, they will (i am also convinced they changed their japanese arena tour into japanese stops of the korean concert because a new japanese tour almost always means new japanese releases... and thats not gonna happen without Onew if they can avoid it).

Bravo, I agree with you. I don't think "Identity" is directed toward any specific group of people. Like you said, it's more about people putting on a false persona according to their circumstances. This is very much like the struggle Taemin has gone through which he started showing us beginning in 2015 with "Press Your Number" all the way up through his 2020, "Never Gonna Dance Again". Who is the real Taemin: celebrity, Christian, or just a regular guy? His duality has bothered him for a while, but he came to a resolution which he made known in his epilogue song "Advice": I'm all of them in one person. They are different facets of who he is as a whole. We don't need to compartmentalize our identities according to certain situations. We should be proud of who we are and show our true selves all the time.

Juice and Satellite are my favorites from the album, but I love the whole thing so much. I feel like I can hear so much influence from their solo work on this album and that’s exciting for me. In the MV for The Feeling, I love the idea of struggling with the scale of what you’re given. When you’re struggling and things don’t feel like they fit with your idea of “feeling well”. Something you need (a map), something that’s nice (an apple or a gift), something you can’t control (plastic bags in the air)… if the scale of it is off, too much or too little, it can turn every day life into a struggle.

If you're interested, I think the storyline in SHINee's "Hard" MV can be interpreted in two ways. As you can see, the whole MV has a piano theme. For example, in the beginning when the scene becomes animated, it showed Taemin being pulled into the piano. And, if you look at the set with the brown walls, you will notice that it looks like the inside of a piano with the wooden hammers that create the sound when the keys are played on the walls behind them. And the lighted white screen is divided like the white keys of the piano with the people's silhouettes representing the black keys, etc. This could represent how music is what controls their lives and its what has trapped them in this world as artists. Which could be similar to the themes within Taemin's solo Never Gonna Dance Again album trilogy -- "2 Kids", "Criminal" and "Idea" -- and his epilogue "Advice." However, I'm also pretty sure that the whole "Hard" MV storyline is connected to SM's SM Culture Universe. The more I watch it, the more I see that seems to indicate that it's all connected. Just like all the groups under SM, the storylines are all part of thy larger Kwangya concept, kind of like a giant graphic novel or action movie series with a twist. SHINee's story, so far, primarily connects to EXO's and SuperM's storylines. Each group has their own individual storyline and concept, but when you put them all together there are threads of connections between the groups. You could sort of think of it like the Marvel franchise. Each of the Marvel characters has their own storyline, merchandise and fans, but the stories and concepts often overlap and connect. And with each new character that is introduced it expands on the whole Marvel universe. To understand how all of SM's groups are connected, keep in mind that it all began with EXO's origin story. As you know, EXO's concept is that they are aliens from Planet Exo, who have been sent to Earth on a mission to find and protect the Tree of Life from the Red Force, while also trying to fix all the things that are going wrong in the world, which are believed to be caused by the Red Force. The Red Force is thought to be here on Earth inflicting their evil agenda -- corrupting humanity and causing all the bad things that are happening in the world, such as war, hate and destruction of the environment, etc. And because EXO is trying to undo and prevent the Red Force from accomplishing their goals, the Red Force is also trying to take down EXO by capturing them, corrupting them and standing in their way, etc. With SHINee's "Hard" MV, I think when we first see Taemin in the black sleeveless suit, he looks very similar to what he looked like in his SuperM debut teasers, which might mean that this could be connected to SuperM's storyline. SuperM is the Kpop industry's very first supergroup, which debuted in October 2019, and, as you also know, their concept and storyline is centered around the fact that they are Avengers-like superheros, so SuperM is the group that pretty much connects all of SM's groups together. As part of EXO's story, Baekhyun and Kai have recruited members from SM's other male Kpop groups -- Taemin from SHINee, Taeyong and Mark from NCT, Ten from WayV and Lucas who is a former member of WayV -- and formed SuperM, to help them battle the Red Force. As "The Avengers," SuperM is taking members from each of SM's groups and joining forces to take down the Red Force. And, just like how the movies "Avengers Identity War" and "Avengers Endgame" eventually had each of the Marvel Avengers members recruiting their whole crew to help in the fight, I think SM is setting it up so that all of its groups' members will eventually be brought into the conflict. I also think the story in "Hard" even could be connected to Taemin's "Advice" storyline. We see him with his hands painted blue in "Hard," similar to his black ink stained hands and body in "Advice," and in both scenes we see him standing in front of/playing a piano. (Technically, Pearl Aqua is SHINee's color. However, before LED lights were invented, creating a wider range of colors -- making way for SHINee's official Pearl Aqua color -- they used blue and green in things to do with SHINee. That's why we still see blue, green and aqua with most things SHINee related.) Some have pointed out that the scene with the silhouettes behind the screen reminds them of the scene in Taemin's "Criminal" MV, with the people behind a screen pushing their hands into it. However, in "Hard" Taemin is standing in front of the screen, rather than walking through the middle with the two sides reaching for him like in "Criminal". Although, I also think that scene could be connected to EXO's storyline, because we see in EXO's "Tempo" MV a scene where there are silhouettes behind a lighted white wall that looks very similar to this. In EXO's storyline, the people behind the wall are thought to be EXO's alter ego clones, who were created by the Red Force, or they could be the EXO members, who are trapped behind the wall. We also see EXO fighting with their silhouette shadows in their live concert performance of their song "Wolf," which is thought to be EXO battling X-EXO as they search for the Tree of Life. Ever since SHINee came out with "Don't Call Me", I think the storyline in that MV was supposed to be SM bringing SHINee into the SM Culture Universe. In "Don't Call Me," it looks as though the SHINee members go through some sort of wormhole as they are teleported somewhere and we see them all posing in their black outfits like they are getting ready for battle. This looks very similar to the scene in SuperM's debut "Jopping" MV when the SuperM members are coming together at the beginning of "Jopping." Therefore, because Taemin is a member of SuperM, I think SHINee is supposed to be getting ready to join SuperM in the fight against the Red Force. In "Hard" we also see Taemin standing on a grate as he crouches down and looks through it at the "people" in white trapped below, similar to his scene in SuperM's "Jopping" MV. The scene with Key standing with all the dancers in white -- which I think are supposed to represent the white keys of a piano -- sitting in a circle around him also seems to be an important part of the story, however I'm not sure what it all means yet. We see Key remove the mask of one of the guys and we discover the guy has a glowing blue earpiece, which seems to be suggesting that they are being controlled by outside forces. However, because they are all just sitting there without moving, it seems to indicate that they are currently "shut-down". Either these people are androids or robots, like in EXO's "Lucky One" MV, or they are people who are under mind control. Although, I don't think they are being controlled by the Red Force necessarily because we don't see any trace of red anywhere in that scene. Instead, the color we see is blue, which usually within EXO's storyline means that it represents something to do with EXO, who are the good guys. Plus, as I said, blue with SHINee usually represents SHINee and their connection as a group. Minho standing on the edge of that rock formation looks similar to the scene with Girls' Generation's Taeyeon standing on the rock in the middle of the ocean in Key's solo "Hate That ..." MV, and it also looks a lot like the scene in SHINee's "Don't Call Me" MV, with Key standing on the submerged phone booth. It all has the same feeling. (Notice how they also are all wearing red in all of those scenes. Remember, red usually represents something to do with the Red Force.) In the next animated scene, we see what looks like Minho in the red jacket fighting with the same piano key ropes that pulled Taemin into the piano in the beginning. To me, it looks like its trying to keep him trapped within the piano and under the control of the music. However, in the next scene, we see the giant piano has been destroyed behind them, which could represent how music no longer controls them, but they now control the music. In the last scene -- after the Hard8 album title, which you missed because you stopped the video too soon -- it reminds me of the same menacing red atmosphere as Minho's rap section in their "Don't Call Me" MV, where we see him in an all red room with chairs hovering above him. Therefore, I think the gloved hand is Minho's hand because it looks like the same gloves that Minho is wearing in the scene right before that where they are dressed in black. Although I don't know what that means yet, I am sure it is something to connect the storyline to something within one of SM's MVs in the future or will make more sense when more of the story is revealed as SM releases the next chapter, etc. But you should also know, that no one really knows for sure what is happening in any of the story. There are well known theories and storylines that are accepted within the fandom, which we think might explain what is happening in each MV. And there are theories about how each MV is connected and where each falls within their larger storyline, but nothing is set in stone. Fan theories are constantly evolving and changing with every introduction of a new piece of the puzzle. New things are revealed with every MV release, concert, event, or appearance, etc., which could either add to or change the storyline.

Here's the Road Trip, I believe. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aXuYdJ2JiJuWnMk Guitars, eh? Have you seen the recent live rock version of Sherlock? It's during the Road Trip. Also, your hair looks fabulous 💜 Here's one of their Behind clips (probably just for your behind the scenes viewing): kzbin.info/www/bejne/mqazgn-Fppx7m8k And here's a clip from the K-909 ep. 19 I referenced in my other comment. Just a cute clip for you to enjoy. Love this album. I would say my favorite is Identity and Sweet Misery. Though I always go back to Juice performance. When they did Juice during their SWC6, I swear I was so speechless with the level of intensity (plus the interesting costumes that showed some skin lol). It's something that hypes me, plus the performance video was so amazingly done. I'm just so proud of SHINee. 15yrs and still feels so new, yet at the same time the experience and maturity obviously show in the way they create their music and how they perform.

first of all i love your hair and i hope you are well and happy 💖 Thank you so much for the reaction and comments Austin, i really missed you and so happy to see you back! I completely understand the feelings about HARD and I can only say that I share that feeling, however, after listening to it several times and after the song lifted me up in a complex moment, I came to love it! My current favorites list is: Identify, Insomnia (I like lounge music lol) and HARD! I won't comment on the roadtrip as others have already, however, I would like to say that I have a link to the last concert! All the references in "The Feeling" MV have to do with SHINee's history over the past 15 years and what they have accomplished as a group and as solo artists, etc. For example, if you pause the MV and take the time to study the map that Minho has, you will see that it's a map of SHINee's history up until now, including all their solo debuts. And the shot of the 5 apples falling on the No. 5 represents how they will always be a 5 member group. I also interpret the "and..." at the beginning as their way of including Jonghyun and Shawols in on their journey, saying SHINee wouldn't be SHINee without either of them. As you can see, this song and MV is a special pre-release track as a gift to Shawols, produced by the members, for their 15th anniversary. They put their own money behind this project. The MV was shot in Okinawa, Japan in May, and it was directed by the same director who directed Onew's "O (Circle)" MV. Therefore, you may have noticed that both MVs have a similar aesthetic and feel. On SHINee's official YT channel, you can find several short vlogs and a behind the scenes video that show them on location filming the MV. How I interpret the lyrics is that the song is all about how the members want to feel our light shine on them again and they want to illuminate us with their light again. They are also making a point to let us know that we will always be together shining in each other's lives. One of my favorite lines of the song is, “I’ll be the light you seek even in dreams. Running parallel and right next to you.” Which clearly shows the bond between SHINee and Shawols. In the MV you see references to the members' solo journey, such as Onew searching for his sound, Key searching for his "taste" by taking a bite of the apples, Minho finding his way with the map as he explores where SHINee has been and where they will go in the future (If you notice, the map starts out tiny, and at the end it has become huge -- every time they show the map it has grown 5 times larger -- representing how their map is constantly being expanded as they accomplish more and more in their careers and lives) and Taemin appears kind of lost as he searches for the right path. I see the plastic bags represent their solo debuts, as well as their connection as a group. The first person we see is Taemin because he was the first one to debut solo (in 2014) and his official color is yellow, then we see and hear Key who is the next of the 4 to debut solo (in 2018) and he is represented by the pink bag because his official color is pink, then Onew (solo debut in 2018) is represented by the green bag because his official color is green and the blue bag represents Minho (solo debut in 2022). Most also agree that Jonghyun (solo debut 2015) is represented by the radio because he was SHINee's songwriter and he is well-known for hosting his own late night radio show, (FYI, his official color is red). In the end, what they were searching for, they find when they're together, which is represented by the big plastic bag floating in the sky, which is pearl aqua color, SHINee's official color. When the big bag explodes it releases all of the colors together, representing how they come together as a group, no longer individual bags. Next, we see Key smile as he bites into the apple, Minho looks away from the map, Taemin smiles as he looks into the sky and Onew smiles listening to his headphones. I interpret the meaning as Key found his taste, Onew discovered his sound, Minho found the place where he feels most comfortable as a member of SHINee, and Taemin is no longer lost. Then we see them all looking up at the sky, which we think is them looking up to heaven and acknowledging Jonghyun's presence as the sun that shines down on them. We also see them happily running together, being free and living in the moment. In the end, we see Minho complete the circle, which I see as representing the fact that his recent solo debut completed SHINee's legacy as the first SM Entertainment group to have all of its members debut solo. Finally, we see the five of them together, with Jonghyun represented by the radio, as the light shines on them. We see that when they are together they create a light, which shows that they are the brightest when they are a group. As you know, SHINee are known for being trendsetters. They have started the trend with almost everything -- with every one of their songs to their dances to clothing trends, to live performances, to the way Kpop is promoted -- there is almost nothing that can't be attributed to something SHINee has been involved in. Therefore, their fashion choices in this MV are noteworthy. They are known for being one step ahead when it comes to fashion because they are the ones that start the trends in Korea that eventually influence fashion trends around the world. Fashion designers actually covet a chance to work with SHINee, or any of the members individually for that matter, because they know that if they can get SHINee to wear their clothes that they will become super popular. For instance, I wouldn't be surprised if a few months from now we see those pleated shorts being worn all over the place by both males and females.

Cont... Hi, i am back. Good reaction(HARD), ty. I was thinking wondering if Shinee would change their sound again for this comeback and they did. They experimental so u just have to accept the sound as is, lol. I liked some of the fits. I liked parts of this. I did not like the rhythm on 1st listen. I had to relisten a few times like 5-10. The song is not bad now. Loved Taemin's long hair. He and Key looked great. I felt callbacks to Taemin's songs with his hands covered in black not blue. And of course the piano. They are incorporating their solo works into their group song. Love it. The circle reference is for Onew's solo song. Spotted it because of another reactors' comments. =0} Music connects us all. They will destroy the current music scene and remake it. Maybe. I think it may mean all of it. I think this does sound like their old experimental stuff. It gives me Don't Call Me vibes and that song still is not my vibe. This one was not for me in the beginning. My HS pal recently heard the song. She likes it but told me it was probably an NCT song and should have gone to them, lol. I don't listen to NCT. I like hard songs with a great balanced production. And this one took some getting used too. I did check the album out on Spotify. The Feeling was there which made me so happy. Liked how Taemin explored rap further in this group song. He gave us a little before enlisting. Borahae. -NY USA 2019 Army💟 @ArianaSB1797 said on 6/29/23 Taemin said the MV is full of Easter eggs about their solos work. There are 2 moments with the drawings, the first is Taemin mastering the piano (he is the ACE), the second one is Minho running away (the CHASE). They both are the beginning and the end of their debuts. Key discovers the FACE of one dancer, and Onew is showing his VOICE (with Blue paint) with a high note. I'm pretty sure there is something for Jonghyun too, I haven't figured it out yet. @livinggarbagetruck said on 6/28/23 The song was produced by KENZIE, a legendary kpop songwriter. She also did Don't Call Me by SHINee in 2021, worth checking out next. She's worked with them consistently since their debut in 2008. Good reaction(Juice), ty. Not a fav song. Not my vibe. The choreo is nice though. Key's hairstyle is not great in my opinion. It is better during the live. His dancing is great though. Facials on point as usual. They all slayed the choreo. Like the fits. My eyes stayed on Taemin though. He is amazing. Hand movements were super cool. He so talented. I've heard the album. It's nice. Not a fan of Hard or Juice. New Taemin biased here. Still new to him and Shinee though only 6-7 months. =0p i like the start of the chorus it's nice. Taemin a menace because he does not want to be told he cute! He wants to be cool, charming, etc. Anything but cute. 0.0 We all done for. @NearlyWitches13 said on 7/13/23 Fun fact: SM wanted Juice to be the title track not Hard, Shinee pushed for Hard. Both songs are really good so I’m glad they promoted both. Good album reaction, ty. Juice is not my vibe. I liked 10X though on 1st listen. =0p Yeah, that is Shinee, giggles. i am still a new Taemin bias only 7 months. So i am still listening to new songs. =0p Good that u know the lyric video is wrong in parts. Yeah, Taemin is back and they all are together again. I love it. When we get BTS back in 2025 oh my gosh we will be bawling. Shoot. Love Taemin's vocals. So good. Great harmonies. Shinee be saying we back u all! We here to stay! =0} Liked Satellite. Loved Identity. So fun. Glad that Taemin is continuing to explore rap. Like It is good. Catchy. Love the melody and the harmonies. =0} I just like their voices period. Sweet Misery is good. Catchy too. We living in exciting times! Insomnia is good too. Gravity is a vibe. Good song too.

In SHINee's "Juice" performance video, I think the "sun" is supposed to remind you of a giant orange. The song is called "Juice," so I think the orange sphere might be designed to represent the theme of the song. We also see it turn into a red sphere and a silver crystal-like ball. LOL. I think the "sun" is changing colors and becoming more powerful to go along with how the song is getting more fierce. (And as you may have noticed, in the beginning they showed an eclipse, which could potentially be connected to SM's storyline, but I'm not really convinced yet.) As you can tell, the lyrics of the song are all a big flex about how they are at the top of the game and they have that special "juice" that makes everyone want them and fall in love with them, etc. Fun fact: The phrase, "Incoming!!!", the laughing, and the phrase "Let's get it" in the background, as well as the phrase "Let's change the scenery, shall we" in the middle of the song, are the signature style and voice of Dem Jointz, who is one of the producers of this track, along with Kenzie. As you know, SHINee are some of the best dancers in the whole industry. They started the synchronized dance trend. And they made the industry realize that if anyone else wanted to compete they needed to up their game. Just think, when Taemin joined SM as a trainee at 11, he didn't even have any dance training -- up until then, all his skills were self-taught by watching dancers on TV shows -- and by the time he debuted less than 3 years later in 2008, he was already showing everyone that his skill level was on par with, or even surpassed, many professional dancers who had been dancing for years. That is why Taemin is now considered one of the top two BEST dancers in all of Kpop. It's why he is most idols idol and a legend even among legends. And the fact that the other SHINee members have no problem keeping up with Taemin, just shows why SHINee are one of the top groups. That's just SHINee's natural talent. Plus, Key actually was chosen to become an SM trainee because of his skills as a dancer. He is the SHINee member who is fastest at memorizing choreography. He has a photographic memory, so he only needs to see a dance once and he can replicate it on the spot almost better than the original. He literally knows everyone's choreography in the Kpop industry. He can fill in as a member of almost any group because he knows their song and choreography just as well, or better, than the actual members. And although, Minho is the main rapper of the group, in fan meetings and concerts when he has a solo stage, he often does dance covers or dance performances because he is also a really good dancer. However, as you know, what sets SHINee apart even more as a group, is they also are recognized as some of the best vocalists in the industry. SHINee are referred to as CDINee or CD-eaters, because they sound even better live then their album versions. Even as rookies, SHINee's main vocalists -- Onew and Jonghyun -- were mentors and vocal coaches to a lot of other singers and trainees, including several members of EXO. (EXO may be considered "Vocal Kings," but SHINee are the original Vocal Kings. Which just goes to show you why they are both SM groups.) In their "Juice" performance video Onew was unable to participate in this performance, so the other members took on his parts in the song. However, as you have heard, in the album version you can hear Onew's voice in the song and he creates an even richer feel. That's just SHINee for you, even when one of their main vocalists is missing, the other members can step in and cover for them and they still manage to sound and look flawless. Although each of their voices adds their own district color to their songs that can't be replaced -- to be fair, all their songs are much better with all 5 of them -- but the other members are so good, that they never look or sound like they are lacking, no matter who is covering each part of the song. As you probably know, the ONLY thing SHINee is not good at is lip syncing, so they have specifically trained since their debut, to build stamina and endurance, in order to be able to sing live for 3+ hours straight, all while performing these intense choreographies. As you have heard, when you listen to a live performance, people are often shocked, because they sound so perfect live even though they are dancing so intensely, but that is why they are so highly respected by everyone. It's a running joke between fans and the members that you can tell when SHINee are lip syncing because they are so bad at it, that is why they avoid it at all costs. Therefore, when you hear SHINee sing, 95% of the time it will be live. Yes, over the years they have become better at lip syncing then they used to be, but now they have gained the reputation as the group that always sings live, so unless they are required to lip sync for a specific reason, what you will hear is live vocals. Other Idols and audio sound technicians, etc. who have witnessed SHINee performing live are always blown away, because in the parts of the song where most singers would take a break and rely on the backing track vocals to cover their voices so they can catch their breath and recover, this is where the SHINee members actually ramp it up and become their most powerful. Therefore, in their live performance of "Juice" SHINee sounds even better than in the recorded version, all while dancing full out. What make SHINee so great is that even if they are singing a cappella while performing this high energy choreography, they sound just as flawless. That's why, even as rookies, senior artists would stop what they were doing to watch SHINee's rehearsals on music programs because SHINee's vocal talent is that impressive. When SHINee debuted, they were the first group to demonstrate how it was possible to sing live while performing complex choreography and still maintain stable vocals. Before SHINee, the thought within the industry was that it wasn't possible to sing live and also perform high intensity choreography at the same time. At that time, most groups would either sing live and have simple choreography, or they would have crazy cool choreography, but lip sync to their recorded vocals. SHINee completely changed the Kpop industry and upped the standard of what it meant to be an idol singer. As you have seen, SHINee live is unmatched. It's literally referred to as the SHINee standard. It's the standard that all other groups strive to reach, and SHINee are the vocalists that all other artists try to emulate. SM really hit gold when they formed this group, and I don't think it can ever be duplicated in the same way again. To understand just how influential SHINee is, I recommend a video called, "SHINee's Impact in Music is BIGGER Than You Think. {{Deep Dive}} [15th Anniversary Tribute]," kzbin.info/www/bejne/b6XVi2qOe7R_a9k. There's been a lot of debate whether "Hard" or "Juice" should be the lead/title track on SHINee''s Hard album -- SM wanted "Juice," to be the lead track, but the SHINee members insisting on "Hard." At this point, I think we all just need to trust SHINee knows what they are doing. Over the past 15 years, we have seen the SHINee members prove time and time again, that they know how to be one step ahead of the trend. For example, Jonghyun wanted his song "Deja Boo" to be his solo debut song, but SM insisted on his song "Crazy (Guilty Pleasure)." And in the end, Jonghyun was right. "Deja Boo" became so popular as a b-side track that it had SM scrambling to find ways to showcase the song, proving Jonghyun knew what he was doing. And, "View" -- which is one of SHINee's most popular songs -- wasn't even a contender for SHINee's Odd album, until Jonghyun rewrote the lyrics and the members pushed SM to make it their lead track. In their recent "SHINee's - 15m Roadtrip comeback show", Key, Minho and Taemin revealed that they spent a lot of extra time making sure everything felt right with their Hard album.They wanted to release the album on May 25, the day of their 15th anniversary, but things needed work. For example, there was a section in "Hard" that needed some tweaking. So, instead of just rushing to get it done, they took the time to make it perfect. Key said, that when they heard the final version of "Hard" -- which was sent to them while they were in Japan filming "The Feeling" MV -- his legs went numb and he knew "Hard" had to be their title track. LOL I think the members chose wisely. Although I love "Juice" because it does a really good job of showing exactly what makes SHINee one of the best of the best, and no one can perform the way they do. However, "Hard" has a much more universally marketable/catchy sound when it comes to appealing to the mainstream public, and the choreography lends itself to being much easier to use for things like tiktok challenges, etc. than "Juice" would have been.
