Yes, your reactions mirror the rest of ours! It was between CØDE and Don't Call Me for the title track, and we love them both. As you've discovered, this whole album is a masterpiece 💎💎💎💎💎 The whistle is likely Minho since he seems to enjoy whistling. (He made the kissing sounds which I didn't notice either.) Everyone wants to see a Body Rhythm mv and we've been asking for one since the album dropped. Can't wait for their upcoming Concert!!! I love ALL the songs, especially Kind. I believe they sang it on IU's Palette and at their 3-hour Exclusive interview (only partly released so far). SHINee's B-sides are notoriously magnificent, thanks for noticing. So happy you loved it. As many shawols will say, Shinee albums are a treasure trove of good and great songs on the B side. Since this wa your first then maybe go backwards with story of light. That was filled with love and remembrances for Jonghyun but in a way that as we listened to it, allowed us to pass through the stages of grief with them. It truly reaaalllyyy reassured us back then that they were healing while keeping him close. Which 3 years later we see that promise kept, from the 5 frames to 5 phone booths and key's speech.

SHINee is all about the b-sides they are always stronger than the mv for me... get any SHINee album you will feel no regrets! If you want an eclectic album I suggest "Odd" because the genres are vast. If you like old school 90s- 80s vibe get "1 of 1" R&B get 2008 "SHINee World"

album of the year for me so far. the album has no skips. every song brings something different and tasteful. the line distribution is really good. all of their vocals were amazing and complemented each other perfectly., but i have to say that onew's performance on this album was something else, he always amazes me with his voice. loved your reaction, i felt the same way.

SHINee are one of the top groups that are known for the fact that they all can do it all. They are a group of 5 amazing vocalists, 5 impressive dancers, 5 visuals, 5 rappers, 5 top actors, and 5 of the most talented and unique voices in all of Kpop. (Never 4, always 5. :D) Once you get to know their voices you will always be able to pick them out of a crowd just by the sound of their voice. Most fans will tell you we know who is speaking or singing within 1 second even with our eyes closed, with them standing in a crowd of screaming fans. Each of their voices are that unique -- there is no one with a voice like any of theirs. That is why they are "The Princes of Kpop". With almost every one of SHINee's albums they usually follow it up with a Japanese album. So they are probably currently working on their Japanese album, as well as probably a repackaged Korean album. SHINee never takes a break for any extended period of time unless it's for a very important reason -- such as their military enlistment or for a concert tour, etc. -- so we are sure to have a lot more content from them. Plus, it wouldn't surprise me if Onew and Key are also thinking about their next solo album, as well.

This album is the best of the year for me no doubt! I'm multi and SM stan, but I honestly think that SHINee released one of their best albums in their career and in Kpop, and that's saying A LOT when they have others like The Misconceptions trilogy, which was the best pop album I heard (alongside Artpop by Gaga) in 2013 and FIVE, which is japanese but still remains a masterpiece of an album, so I'd say that Don't Call Me is the album and comeback they deserved after their hiatus. They reassured their place and standing as pop royalty and I want to show everyone who's willing to listen their music, so they discover and experience the wonder that SHINee is. 🤩 If you want to react and listen to more of their albums, I recommend going back a little and listen to old SHINee. They debuted being mainly an r&b group and albums like The SHINee World and Romeo are absolute gems! They're still my favorite r&b Kpop albums of all time!

Way back when, everyone else had easily identified talents musically except Minho, he had the steepest learning curve but no one could argue about his height and eyes and other features being the most striking so he became the visual and rapper. He is an emblem in SM for hardwork being the miracle of succeeding. Having a designated visual doesn't detract from the other's handsomeness, just like Jonghyun saying the title main vocal is meaningless because everyone else could easily be main vocals whenever needed. We know he's the best but it doesn't devalue Jinki or Key or Taemin or Minho's voices. I would say the current designation of Onew being the main vocal, Taemin main dancer, Minho main rapper and Key being the main allmulti Key 😅 is just formality. They are all visuals, vocals, rappers and dancers. I watched a non shawol reacting to shinee and she made that clear because she couldn't really figure out the positions except tentatively guessingTaemin's and Onew.

So so so happy you loved the album. They said they picked songs that all could be title songs. As many already told you, the whole album has a different feel than Don't Call Me and finally you got to experiance it! 🥰 My heart swelled with joy on how much you complimented Jinki's voice. Body rhythm and Marry you are my faves from the album. When they released samples via phone calls and body rhythm was introduced my face was a mirror reflection of Taemin's from his vlive act1 album introduction when he thought a wrong song was played 😂 this was a bop from before it was released! Favorite SHINee album.. they have so many it is really hard for me to decide but asked on the spot I would say their first album, the story of light (all 3) and Odd. My top favorites. For me, their third album is the one the cemented their 'no skip song' tradition. Almost every song in their albums is a great song and they rarely have filler songs. Odd, Married to the Music, 1 of 1 (+ Rescue), The Story of Light, Don't Call Me and Atlantis are just masterpieces. I'm not sure if I ever heard other group that is as solid and distinctive as SHINee.

My favorite album and the one that got me into SHINee is The Misconceptions of Us (it’s the repackaged for Dream Girl, The Misconceptions of You and Why so Serious, The Misconceptions of Me). I still love it the most to this day even tho all SHINee albums are amazing and really well balanced. I think the concept, art and sound of that album is AMAZING and I think you would like it a lot. I really really enjoyed this video, thanks for doing it 😍 Body Rhythm is my favorite song of the album too, it’s just SO GOOD and catchy. Have you heard about SHINee’s upcoming online concert? However I'm glad that the rest of the boys have stepped up incredibly as vocalists. Almost all SHINee albums, for me, are no-skips. Their b-side tracks are always so strong and really what defines SHINee's sound since they experiment with their title tracks so much. I appreciate they were able to keep their music style pretty much the same with all the adjustments they have had to make as a group over the past few years.

Thank you so much for loving these boys, I enjoy following along as you get to know and appreciate them. 'Married to the Music' is my favorite SHINee album. 'Don't Call Me' easily replaced my second favorite album. '1 and 1' is now in third place with 'Story of Light' fourth (but honestly those are so close they're interchangeable some days). And every other SHINee album is tied for 5th place after that lol. You should check out some of their Japanese mvs, 'Your Number' and 'Get the Treasure' are seriously two of the best SHINee songs.

i'm finding it hilarious how the praise for shinee's albums is so universal yet suspiciously not a whisper about their 2nd full album for Lucifer 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 dont get me wrong, it is not a bad album, its experimental!! unique and bold!!! just happens to be their puberty album, musically speaking, when they first started branching out and trying new sounds that would mold their very successful undeniably flawless future releases, you'll know when you feel ready to weigh in the divisive bops, going in order is a respectable criteria but i can confidently say their every mini album is solid, so that might be a ''quicker'' more bite-sized approach? you'll know your own priorities, mostly i'm interested in pointing out the very fulfilling experience that it is to listen to the two Misconceptions albums separately before going into the united final project, story of light imo is best as a whole despite also being delivered by parts, just follow your heart i guess 😅

I also love SHINee's MOU (Misconceptions of Us) - it's a combination of 2 albums and has 20 songs, varying genres for different moods, with some of my favorite ballads like Selene 6.23 (i recommend you listen to that, it's written by Jonghyun dedicated to international shawols). Some of their iconic concert stages were also for the songs in MOU. Really good.

Thanks so much for this! I've been listening to this album non-stop since the day it came out, and I love all the songs so much. It was fun seeing your reactions to the songs. This album is definitely a masterpiece: their vocals are outstanding (as always for SHINee), the production is perfect, and practically every song on the album could be a title track. They did some live performances of Heart Attack and Code on the music shows, which even if you don't want to react to (for copyright reasons) you should at least check out because I love the choreography for them. Also, one video you might want to react to is their live performance of Kind on IU's Palette. Their voices are soooooo goooood live. Thanks again for the reaction! I love album reaction videos. I hope you'll be able to do more of SHINee's albums, for instance The Story Of Light albums (or the epilogue album at least), or Odd, or Misconceptions of Us. i’m a bit biased (i’ve been a shawol for 9 years now lmao) but really, truly, SHINee just don’t miss with their music - almost all of it is incredibly well written, produced, and performed, and even their bad tracks are made perfectly passable by their vocals/chemistry as a group! you’re gonna have a lot of fun with their discography. good luck out there with your continued shinee journey!

The whole album is amazing. My favorite songs apart from the title track "Don't call me" are kiss kiss, marry you, attention and body rhythm. You should react to Japanese MVs and all Korean and Japanese albums are art ✨

I got a Key poster too! That tabloid insert with the lyrics is a big ode to 70s/punk rock designs. I got a Taemin card. Key’s my bias in SHINee, but Taemin is my solo favorite. Marry You is the last song in the noona trilogy that started with Replay, and Love Sick from Odd.

Our tastes and thinking are exactly the same.I'm always like what makes them also SuJu unique is that the members all have unique voices and all members cansing so well to the point that it^'s not fair.Also the very moment I heard Body Rythm I was like that's my fave song and I want a music video to it. And Kind is such a beautiful song-it's like a present to Shawol before ending the album. And Onew's angelic voice. As you've become an SM stan now as an ELF/Shawol/SONE now it's time for you to react to SHINHWA and become a Shinhwa Changjo. Shinhwa is their SM 1st gen Sunbae and They're SM Vocal&Visual ... everything.They're still active with original members (even in Guinness Book as the longest running group with original members) and next week they'll be turning to 24th anniversary. They are under their own company ''Shinhwa Company'' and they gained their own name rights after a very long legal battle with SM and only idol group to own their name rights in Korea. May be you heard BTS covering their song ''Perfect Man''

Also, I'd rank attention as my least favourite too just because I feel like it's kind of missing something that all the other tracks have but nonetheless it's still a bop. I totally agree about the location of a song on the tracklist, because it tells a story. Starting with Don't Call Me and finishing with Kind was perfect. I got the same vibe as you for 'I Really Want You' having MJ vibes, I also hear a Gloria Estefan kinda vibe in it too. I've also ordered their album, so it was really cool watching you unbox yours! i think you will like the Story of light album most, according to what you liked before. A lot of dance, summer feel bops. But the one that is peak SHINee music for me is 1 of 1. That album is a masterpiece and nothing can compare to its sound. Its pure SHINee at its best.
