as this guide doesn’t do him justice i'm gonna share some things about him. he's considered the best dancer in kpop by renowned professionals and choreographers and one of the famous korean choreographers said if kai started choreographing they would all be jobless and they're thankful for that. he was also voted best dancer by idols three years in a row and so many idols look up to him. for reasons. no one has his range. he dances like an art. he tells a story. you give him a genre and he gonna pull that effortlessly and outdance the entirety. a dancing person can look like an art that's something i got to realise after watching him dancing. every move is on point. he loves dancing with his mind body soul. also he's the first ever korean global ambassador of gucci and first ever male muse of bobbi brown cosmetics.

Kaisoo is my only ever ship in kpop and I've been into kpop for over 10 years. D.O is also my bias with Kai, Baek and Chanyeol close behind. Also D.O is one of the members with the most stable and hardcore fandoms both international and in korea. Half of the A-list korean male actors are among his "fans" as well. He's not so hyped right now because he's been in the military for the last year and his fans are on chill mode but he's coming back soon yayy. I don't know if you watched his mood sample for his solo album (if not you should) but if you did you'll notice that he has some UV tattoos and if you watch some of his live performances, you'll notice that he has similar temporary tattoos. His parents were his biggest supporters since day 1 and his dad is the main reason why he even joined SM entertainment and became an idol. Unfortunately his dad passed away 2 years ago and those tattoos are actually some of his drawings and that was Kai's way of honoring him. Some background info about Kai (Jongin): He started jazz dancing as a kid but quickly moved on to ballet and ballet strongly influences his moves in other dancing styles (which is why you noticed it's more artistic) in addition to that he popularized this with other idols, before him idols used to pop and lock most of the times while now we have plenty of more artistic and contemporary dances. He's one of the most influential idols of the past decade and is called the Idol of Idols because of the amount of fanboys and fangirls that he has in other kpop groups. You're also right about him being in another group with Taemin (one of his best friends since before he debuted) and Baekhyun, the group is called SuperM and it's supposed to be sort of the best of the best SM male groups. A not so nice fact that I could potentially get dragged by non-erigoms (erigoms are his solo fanbase) for; his golden skin was mentioned in the video. It's gorgeous and something he said that he likes the most about himself but it hasn't always been as easy because of Korean beauty standards where white skin is heavily preferred. He hasn't been treated the same by some S.Korean stans and he had some not very nice comments from his members as well (although supposedly as jokes), comments about how he should bleach his skin, how his skin is his only flaw... how he's hard to see in the dark, fans constantly editing and whitewashing his pictures, him being pushed into the sexy role since day 1 (when he was like 17) cause white skin is associated with innocence there and his skin wasn't white and so on. This probably resulted in him being treated differently by the company as well. Until this year he was the only Exo member who didn't have an OST, didn't have any solo songs, no albums, no subunits, nothing... this alongside colorism resulted in him having one of the smallest South Korean fanbases (although he's probably the most widely known Exo member internationally) amongst Exo members, so thank you for pre-ordering the album, he wanted to have a solo since 2016 and it's only happening now (in worst time possible), heaven knows he'll need all the support he can get.

You mentioned sth artistic abt his dancing and I feel the same. That's why his performances are not erotic to me even when he is doing all the extra pelvis thrusting stuff. I KNOW his dances are sexy but probably I am too overwhelmed by how beautiful his moves are. Watching him dancing is like watching a top ballerina performing, and what I see is his effort to execute all the movements perfectly (and he succeeds every single time). I still don't know why I don't look at Kai in that way even though he's apparently super attractive and I love him a lot. He's just.....too beautiful. But Kyungsoo is a different story lmao. He never does extra moves when dancing but he looks so freaking HOT effortlessly. There's something about his dancing but I can't really explain. honestly for me kai is one of the most professional artists in kpop industry because he is too talented, too perfeccionista, and he artist persona is SO different from who jongin are, they're like different persons and i think that's fantastic. For me, Kai has the biggest duality in all of Kpop. Kai and Jongin are two different people in the same body. Kai is so sexy and has a heavy bad boy vibe and Jongin is so babie. Kai, finally, my bias! Unfortunately, this guide is not updated, but he's achieved so much and done so many things since then. He's known as "The Human Gucci" in the fashion industry since he's the first Korean ever to be Gucci's Global Ambassador and he's able to carry the essence of the brand so well. He's called "The Dancing Machine" and "The Idol of Idols", a lot of kpop idols idolize Kai and think of him as the idol that they want to be (I believe there's a survey about it, and he won many years in a row). His other nickname is Bear ("Gom" in Korean), cuz the fans think he looks like a bear, so he has a lot of bear-related/bear-shaped stuffs mostly from fans, and his fandom name is "erigom". He's a part of SM's supergroup SuperM (with Baekhyun), a group that's focused on performance side of kpop and consists of (arguably) the best dancers and performers of 4 other groups from SM Entertainment (Shinee, EXO, Nct 127 & WayV), and he's one of the main dancers in SuperM. After you've gone through the individual guides you should definitely check out exo's subunits too! As of now, exo has two official subunits: EXO-CBX (Chen, Baekhyun, Xiumin) and EXO-SC (Sehun and Chanyeol). Both units have several M/Vs and several albums respectively (CBX also has two Japanese albums i think). CBX has some of my favourite exo live stages from their concerts "Magical Circus" in japan from 2018/19. They're really vocally focused so i think that you'll be able to analyze their vocals more as well! Plus I've barely seen people react to these performances.. ~ EXO-CBX "Cry" Live Magical Circus 2019 ~EXO-CBX "Paper Cuts" Live Magical Circus 2019 at Saitama Super Arena (this one is definitely a tear jerker because baekhyun nearly cries while singing) ~EXO-CBX "Diamond Crystal" Live Magical Circus 2019 (my personal fav) ~EXO-CBX "Playdate" Live Magical Circus 2019 Chen Baekhyun and Xiumin also have solo stages from those concerts that you can check out if you want! You are right, most of the hardcore EXO-Ls could not even choose one specific bias. It just changed from time to time. You get wrecked by all of them. My very first EXO bias was Luhan, then Xiumin and then Chen and now it's Baekhyun. This is one of the reasons why I love EXO CBX so much because ChenBaekXi are all in there. They are all my biases pulled into one. EXO is huge and you are just starting, so just be prepared to get wrecked all the time. You were also right. Last year SM Entertainment created SuperM. They are a combination of their boygroups Shinee, EXO, NCT and WayV. Taemin, Kai and Baekhyun is part of that group together with other younger members in NCT and WayV. Baekhyun is the leader so you can imagine how they are a mess. But the younger ones looked at their hyung line with so much love and adoration in their eyes so please do take time to react to SuperM in the near future.

the former three members of exo ( kris, luhan and tao ) do make their own music. they have also acted in c-dramas ( kris was in an american movie called 'return of xander cage' ). for kris ( wu yifan ), i would recommend 'like that', 'external love', 'freedom' and 'deserve'. he is a rapper but he can also sing as well, he tends to use autotune when singing though. luhan is more focused on his acting career and being a dance coach, but i would recommend 'excited', 'roleplay' ( one of my favorite songs ), 'skin to skin', and 'dream up'. kris and han did a song together called 'coffee'. this is the first time they've done anything together since they left the group in 2014. they also reunited as three on a chinese survival show this year, which is precious to see. anyways !! for tao ( he goes by z.tao now, combining his surname 'zi' with his given 'tao' ), i would recommend 'begger' ( his vocals are so good, even though he is labeled as a rapper and dancer )and 'ai'. he mainly focuses on acting and coaching on survival shows as well. he has such a precious personality and was the third youngest when in exo ( slightly older than jongin and sehun ). i hope this helps you some ! looking forward to your sehun ( maknae ) guide reaction !!

Kai is my bias because he is such a talented dancer and I love his vocals. I would love to hear him sing more. He is also so expressive when he dances. That face, expression, and smirk are too much. He is a born performer.

Kasper a korean choreographer said that today's korean idols (men) are Kai wannabes. They looked up at Kai so much. He looks cold and intimidating but he is the true sweet heart, and he looks like he don't care but he is the most sensitive one and he said that those negative comments about him or bashing are hurting him, his mental health is not that good, so we (exo-ls) are worried because we know that suicide case in Kore are high, 2 of their label mates commited suicide 3 years ago. 💔 Sorry if my english is not that good.

Yes, Kai has done choreography and his dancing is at an artistic level you don't often see in pop. I sometimes feel for Kai in that he is always called a sex symbol and a face etc... I just think that sells him short. What makes him the mesmerising performer that he is (to my mind) is the eye contact he maintains, how he communicates with an audience and how he completely commits to a character on stage. He leaves his own self behind and become a new creature on stage- mark of a born performer... He has been training in dance for years and sometimes he would train for 10 hrs a day or more. The dedication to his art and work ethic is insane. Not to mention being one of the kindest softest humans ever who really looks after everyone around him. Can't wait to see his solo album next week- he's been preparing so hard

I like to think of Kai as my "sub-bias" after Lay, but they're all amazing! Can't wait for his solo!!
