SIRDAR Class Locomotive Completed - 7/8ths Scale Live Steam

New build 7/8ths scale live steam locomotive based on the Kerr Stuart SIRDAR Class 0-4-0T, short side tank version. This has been a work in progress for several years but it is now functionally complete and almost ready for track testing prior to total disassembly and painting.

Good morning John. My english is not so good. I'm from germany and congratulations to your very nice model you have build. In germany you can not by any model like yours. In germany you can by models like the german railrrod. A Hunslet etc not. I'm very interested at a Hunslet, if you know we're i can by some, please answer me. Sorry for my bad english. Beautiful ! How thick is the copper on the boiler ?

Thanks for your comment. The boiler is 16 gauge (1/16") thick copper.

What is the loading gauge on 7/8

Not sure. I work off my own designs and or estimate sizes from original photos etc. These were typically industrial / quarry locos and built in many sizes to suit individual customer needs. There are a couple of 7/8ths Facebook pages worth a search.
