Thanks to your insightful review, I bought M7 4string last month. I am totally in love with this bass; It has virtually everything I need in terms of the tone; both pickup single tone for slap and pop, like jazz bass, neck pickup series for rock or motown sounds, like P bass, and many many more. Also it's easy to play thanks to the light weight and thin neck. Once again, thank you so much for your review, which convinced me to buy one, and you were absolutely right!

Really good review. I have the first generation V7 in alder and it’s incredible. I record and play live with it, recorded 3 tracks today. I bought a V7 2nd gen. It was set up poorly and the neck had a trussrod issue. I received a new neck under warranty which was fine. But as much as I read about Sire basses being perfect out of the box. That absolutely was not my experience.

Not at all. Although I haven't gigged with it so I can't comment on how road worthy it is. I have an arsenal of basses. A Roscoe, US Jazz Basses, vintage basses, custom basses...when I record bass, I grab this bass 9 times out of 10. It's comfortable and super versatile.

Hello thank you for the review! How is this bass after 2 years ? Do you still recommend it ?
@thelowaction95732 жыл бұрын
I do! I love it! It’s not my main everyday bass it’s my go to bass for recording for sure. I’ve used it on a couple gigs. I loved the lightweight and it performed wonderfully.
@jacskonflow2 жыл бұрын
@@thelowaction9573 thank you for your answer! It helps me a lot ! For me it would be my main everyday bass so I would like to be sure 😃 Do you think it can be an everyday bass? Just to be sure about the solidity 😄 My priority is 24 frettes, and the 4 strings bass is the better option for me, so this bass seems to be the best for this prize.
@thelowaction95732 жыл бұрын
@@jacskonflow - Sure! If you take care of it, I don't see why it wouldn't last. If you're gigging and playing a lot, I would invest in a hardshell case or a really good bag (like a Mono) for protection. If it were my main bass, the only thing I would do is upgrade the tuners. Not that I've had problems with tuners, but it seems that they could be better haha. But that's a relatively inexpensive and easy upgrade. For the money, it's a fantastic bass.
@jacskonflow2 жыл бұрын

Hi, i bought this bass and i love it, but I don't know if i have a issue with my knobs. If i try to rotate the knobs with ring (Mid EQ/Mid Boost or Main Tone/Main Volume) they moves together. Then i need to use two hands to regulate individually. Is this a common issue?
@thelowaction95734 жыл бұрын
It's a common issue with stacked knobs. There is a small set screw on the bottom rings. If you loosen, remove the knobs, and check that the pot shaft isn't bent. If it's bent, you may have to replace the pot. If not, you can usually reset the knobs and loosen them up a bit. That should solve the problem.
@Manu97804 жыл бұрын
TheLowAction Thanks, i have loosed the knob a little bit and works flawlessly. I think that i will change the knobs with a better set. Have you some advice which knobs-set to buy that will be perfect for this bass?
@thelowaction95734 жыл бұрын
@@Manu9780 - I'm glad it worked for you! I don't have any suggestions. Whatever knobs you think would look best with your bass. Just so you're aware. The bottom shaft is 8mm and the upper shaft is 6mm. The lower knob is designed for a set screw. The upper knob is a press-on type. There are stacked sets available that fit these. I saw a person on Reddit that used basic black aluminum knobs and it looked beautiful.

How come no one reviewing these 5 string basses ever plays the B string for more than 2 seconds?
@robeggers55602 жыл бұрын
I bought a M7 from Thomman and am very disappointed. Fret ends are sharp and no effort was made to round them at all. I ordered a 6 string harley benton at the same time and it has better fret finishing. I will need to do a complete set up and fret dress, round and polish
@ViTAR3010 ай бұрын
Fret dress required on mine too, it could happen depending how much time went from production to sale and how it was stored for a long time. I believe if it's fresh, it could be ok out of the box, if it took time, wood is a living thing that can shrink a tiny bit and frets can get out a tiny bit for edges to become sharp.
