If you have a 12 to 24 volt but actually want to go from 24 to 12 with this same converter, can you use it, will it blow ??? Will it work ???

This device only converts 24Volts DC down to 12 Volts DC.

Can 2 of these units be run in parallel to double output? Thanks
@SIRENNET5 күн бұрын
No, this converter is not designed to be run parallel. Thanks for watching.

Can you connect multiple DC Power Converter to a single 24 volt source. I'm in need of 12 volt and 5 volt output from a 48 volt source. Would thye be wired to the same wire?
@SIRENNET2 жыл бұрын
Is your application / vehicle 48volts or 24volts? You mentioned both, so just asking to be able to further help with your question.

Sorry, its' an ebike with a 48 volt battery. Trying to figure out what fuse size I should install between the DC converter and battery?
@SIRENNET2 жыл бұрын
@@raczyk This converter has a 20-amp inline fuse already. It's only designed for 24volts, not 48. Does your eBike have just (1) 48volt battery, or does it have (2) 24volt batteries?

How can I wire a car a12v car radio on a truck with this converter. Radio requires 12v constant ( memory) 12v acc for on and off -ve ground . This contains only two outputs . ?
@PaulJB5559 ай бұрын
You could connect 2 wires to the 12v+ output, one lower gauge for the power, one higher gauge with a switch between the on/off input line. The trouble you might have is there will be a constant draw on your battery from the radio and converter itself supplying the constant line for the memory. If your batteries are large enough and there isn't long between recharging from driving it might be ok though. This converter only has one 12v output (not two), but this doesn't affect how many devices it can power, the: current,voltage, and total power output dictate the limit (most electrical things staying between 50-80% of rated current/watts is usually a safe/preferred way). Make sure you talk to someone familiar with car/truck wiring (if you're not) as there's a few things to consider with this.

How hot does it get?
@SIRENNET Жыл бұрын
We do not have any specifics from Able 2 / Sho-Me on the operating temperate range of this Converter. At the 20-amp max, it gets hot enough that you can't hold on to it. If there is a worry about it getting too hot, avoid going over 10-amps on the draw.

Can the 24v and 12v be connected to the ground pole on the transformer?

Do you have one that has stopped working? We don't recall being contacted by anyone that has purchased this where it has failed. This is a durable and solid converter that should last for a fair amount of time so long as it's used correctly.

I run a 982m front end loader and just roasted a Ranger x9 cb radio now I have 2 battery’s but the machine is 24 volt will this help my issue?
@SIRENNET2 жыл бұрын
This is exactly what you need. It converts 24 volts DC to 12 volts DC so that 12V devices can operate in 24V construction equipment.

Got a major question? I have a arb dual compressor that is 24v and I’m trying to install it on a Toyota Tacoma that only has 12v is this product going to help with my issue?
@SIRENNET2 жыл бұрын
So long as it's within 20amps max, this should work. The Module reliably converts 24 volts DC to 12 volts DC so that 12V devices can operate in 24V construction equipment, trucks, RVs, buses, etc.
@davidhoover88772 жыл бұрын
Why not go from the positive to its negative on the first battery o hook your 12 volt items. Its 12 volts till it hooks to the next battery then becomes 24 volts in a dual 12 volt batteryy 24 volt system in series.
@SIRENNET2 жыл бұрын
Getting to the battery and running wires from it to a switch isn't always too easy. These are great for using with existing switches that are often already on the vehicle/equipment.

Hi Chris, Wondering what the percentage efficiency is for this box ? Guess I could also use more than one to up the wattage output. There are advantages to having a 24v battery bank and 24v Inverter but have many 12v appliances which would be hard and expensive to replace.
@SIRENNET5 жыл бұрын
Greetings. It's greater than 90% power conversion efficiency. Able 2 does not recommend stacking these up. If the wattage is greater then this can handle, you'll need to look into using something different.

Would this continuously drain power from the battery? Or would you need to install an on/off switch?

You would be surprised how much stuff is made in China. They make great stuff and they make junk, it all depends on the quality control, and if they stick to the original design. Sometimes they will change one little part from the original design and ruin the product.
