You did a beautiful chemo hat ! And you make it look so easy. Good teaching. 🍎 May I also suggest some yarns in the USA that are soft also .... Mary Maxim "Oh so soft", Lion Brand. "Feels like Butta ", & a cotton yarn called , I Love That Cotton ( from Hobby Lobby, also on line. ) My blessings and prayers to those with cancer. 💝🌹

Also, new yarn from Lion Brand: Truboo 100% bamboo #3 weight yarn
@kristina__marie4 жыл бұрын
@@IDontSuckAtLifeakaJanis3975 I actually just posted about TruBoo bc I didn't see your reply here. I agree this is a great yarn!
@kristina__marie4 жыл бұрын
For those who have access to buy Lion Brand yarns, they have a newer line called TruBoo which is a finer yarn (approx. 3-4 weight) made of 100% bamboo that is SO soft and comfortable. They also have their CoBoo line which is a cotton/bamboo mixed yarn (same weight) which is also very soft. Both are easy maintenance for washing/drying, as well. I've made headware from this yarn using a 3.5 - 4 mm hook (US). I love this pattern and I love your channel! Thank you so much for what you do, Sirin!

Someone just asked for a chemo hat recommendation on a FB group I'm in. I instantly thought of Sirin's design and shared the link. I also tried to say a little bit about yarn...tried to..I hope they read your comment when they click over because I didn't mention the names of the bamboo yarns etc. I also mentioned cotton and you've provided the name of the cotton bamboo yarn too. I don't know how it is everywhere else but where I am it is suggested you only use those materials (I've said this in another comment, don't mean to repeat myself too much)

Very special you create this for so many women who will need this for having to deal with the effects of chemo and cancertreatment. YOU are special! Thank you so much. And the design is also beautiful and modern. So nice the yarn is soft and it takes into account the light-issues some have with the effects of chemo and radiation-therapy. Your design will make them happy!! 💖

This is a very lovely hat for someone going through perhaps the most difficult time in their life. I have a dear friend just starting her cancer journey...has lost about 1/2 her hair in 2 weeks, and the rest should be gone soon. At the beginning of winter I made her 2 hats with a baby alpaca acrylic blend yarn...very soft, but will be too warm soon. I have ordered a special cotton yarn and I am definitely going to make her one of these. The yarn colors are a nice fern green and a morning glory blue...so this pattern is perfect for the colors. I have purchased little cat face buttons for the brim. Thanks so much for the tip about the brim...I had no idea. I'm sure she's going to love these hats, and thank you for the fabulous instructional video. Blessings to you. 🤗

I used a 4 weight yarn and an 4mm hook, starting chain 84. Came out beautifully with Lion Brand Ferris Wheel yarn. It's a roving style acrylic with a ombre variegated look. So cute! Also did my own variation with this after doing a row of single crochet at the brim, I did 4 more rows of herringbone single crochet to finish without doing the cap flap. In effect with the ombre of teal and purple my cap looks mermaid themed. I'm working on another one for me now.

I made this hat, and it turned out beautifully....thank you for the pattern. I used a cotton/yak blend and the leaves really popped out. I think it's the springyness of the yak fiber that did that...anyway...looks fabulous. 🤗
