Still have this vinyl in my collection and several Flash albums too....as an aspiring guitarist in the 70s I was (and still am) in awe of Pete's playing...particularly the hammer-volume control technique..bit of a precursor to Durutti Column..

Around the 4:35 mark I noticed something familiar that I heard on another album. It seems that Steve Hillage borrowed that ascending guitar motif for his "Leylines to Glassdom" off his 1978 album Green. Given I've owned Green for much longer than Two Sides of Peter Banks, I was really surprised to hear that same ascending guitar motif on "The White House Vale" which leads me to think that Hillage had owned a copy of this album. I shouldn't be too surprised, both Banks and Hillage were guitarists.

Hmm, maybe. The hillage line is in there but it doesn't mean Hillage heard it here. It's only a few notes.

I don't know, but another cut on the album "Knights" Änglagård did borrow the riff for "Ifrân Klarhet till Klarhet" off their debut Hybris in 1992.

COOL!!!!...Had this record when I was 17yo way back in the early '70's...it was a great album...but sold it to get me some money for dope...never seen it again in record shops...Thanx for posting...Is it still available? Can I buy it somewhere?

@SIRIO2222 Well, am from Holland a small country below sealevel...and we are obviously not so advanced and well orientated in musical issues as people are in Italy...but what is the label or record company that released this LP...you wrote ´records´, in plural...Are there more than one of this album...I only had one LP.

The cover photos made me think of the 2 sides of Robert Fripp (the pic on the left side esp., looks a bit like Fripp circa 1977). Parts of this song seem written/improv-ed/extended in the studio.. gets kind of loose in places. But good all in all.
