Actually prefer Matt's voice over Ali's, whose whiny whiny tones wore a bit thin as the band went into the 90's. That said of course the first two albums were very much sold off the back of his voice, but in my mind it just didn't develop in the same way as say Brians horn playing did, which continued to contribute very much to the bands sound.

Mickey left years ago, sadly Astro passed away. For 28 years UB40 was Ali, Robin, Brian, Norman, Earl, Astro, Jim, Mickey. All eight of them were there since UB40 had their first hit. Ali and Mickey left in 2008, Astro 5 years later! So why arent the remaining members UB40 to you then? They are in this band 45 years!
