In another interview, she said she really worries that if Tom gets nauseous, there's no way to get the mask off of him quickly if he needed to throw up. She was legitimately worried he could throw up wearing the mask and effectively drown in it before they could get him out of the mask. Firstly, good thinking and a legitimate worry. Secondly, I'm glad the suit didn't hold the fart in, because then her concern might have become a reality, depending on how long he had to marinate in the suit before he could get some fresh air.
