Sir, "in northerly direction" might mean " in the direction from where the northerly flows from!" So, the book can be right actually!

Sir as I was watching your video... you have good knowledge in geography... But here regarding sirocco direction in book is correct.these winds blow in northerly direction.but you say it should be southerly here. Sir northerly means from north but in northerly means towards north... Check it sir

Anurag ji southerly is correct but in savindra Singh sirocco is mentioned to be moved in northerly.in northerly means southerly.read my previous comment again.i hope you will understand what I was saying. Shabbir sir was saying instead of “in northerly” southerly should have been written.but I am saying that in northerly and southerly both are same.therefore whatever is written in book is correct.

Yes.. Sirocco is a southerly wind(i.e wind that blows from the south) -this is right. But the Sir says, "Sirocco blows in a southerly direction" now this would mean that it blows towards South. So as mentioned in Savindra Singh book "in northerly direction" is right. Ye English language ki wajah se confusion hai.

Sir why local wind like Haboob and Simmom don't obey ferrel law (coriolis force)?? sir can we say sirocco local wind as a part of westerlies?? sir sirocco local wind movement is due to thermal difference or dynamic influence??

@@kabeergunjanDear Sir, Easterly and Westerly denotes the direction from which the wind is coming and not the direction towards which it goes... but, the author in this reference has written '...blows in the NORTHERLY direction FROM Sahara, which if you find difficult to comprehend could be sumed up as 'in the north direction from Sahara! It's a grammer stuff so don't get confused 🙂
