sir, In NCERT class 11 page 91.it is given that.."The coriolis force acts perpendicular to the pressure Gradient Force."
@krishankant5080

That case is only in ideal condition body.. an that condition doesn't exist in reality.

Becoz a wind always flows from H.P to L.P and after getting direction of pressure gradient draw the Coroilis force which is ryt in the N and Left in the S hemisphere and yes you will get the perpendicular direction of Coroilis force

There are infinite directions which is perpendicular to velocity of wind. How do you choose the particular perpendicular direction which you draw in the plain of whiteboard ?

Sir please clear my doubt As u said 1. Coriolis effect on wind is proportional to the wind'speed. So higher the wind speed higher the turn( for ideal condition no doubt in it) 2. Wind speed is proportional to altitude (For idea condition no doubt in it) Due to Coriolis effect only you are drawing final wind direction away from (right ward in N.hemisphere) pressure gradients direction. Then why u r drawing Coriolis effect direction again( which u drawn away from final wind direction)

But sir in air circulation concept, air in low pressure latitude moves upwards and move towards high pressure latitude and then subside and that subsided air is moving from high pressure latitude to low pressure latitude at ground level...so it means at ground level .only air moves from high to low ...but at height altitudes air actually moving from low pressure latitude (since it got raised up from ground having low pressure)and moving towards high press latitude and then subsiding down...so the direction of surface air flow and upper air flow is opposite to each other na sir...then how come in upper air also movies high pressure to low pressure and leading to geo atrophic winds sir????

These famous teachers confuses students more...NCERT says Coriolis force is perendicular to pressure gradient. Den whts the mattr of discussion of a topic with vague concepts. Shabbir's sir.
