This is helpful because the instructions make it seem like you're supposed to just push the pins out by hand with the Allen key. I'm not kidding; there's pictures showing this step and none of them include a hammer.

I have the Gen 2 compact model, and the battery goes in differently. When I took out the old battery, I just naturally figured that there would be an image at the bottom of the battery compartment, so I didn't take a photo of the old battery in place. I put the new battery in, in what looked like the proper orientation, and the battery got hot. It's the CR2 Lithium. Now I'm not sure what to do, and you don't seem to have any documentation showing how the battery goes in.

could you do a armorer course for swapping battery on the SIRT 107 (m&p style series)? I've tried to follow the instructions online, but I'm not able to remove the slide (with all pins removed) The slide slides forward about 1/4 inch on frame then stops (as if something physically stops the slide from sliding forward enough to lift off of frame) I would like to remove slide to push in new sights / change battery when needed. thanks!

Ditto, my trigger is broken and I am at a loss for how to remove the slide.

How do you know when to change the battery? I have shot mine not even 2000 times. Never dropped it. But now, when I pull the switch back and fire, both lasers appear at the same time. Not one first and than the other. Like it did before. If I push the switch forward (into single laser mode) and fire about 8 to 10 times the laser point appears very weak on the target. I also have to squeeze the trigger very hard for it to become bright again. After that i can fire about 8 to 10 times and it goes very dim again. And the camera is struggling to catch the the laser hit. I sometimes have to fire three times for it to register. It wasn't like this before. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Is this battery related? I've only had it for 2 months. Or did my luck run out yet again and was I sent a piece of crap. Help Help Help.

Same thing is happening to me but I just received my SIRT a couple of days ago. My green shot indicating laser works perfectly though. Did you ever resolve this issue?

dude stop changing camera angles. if this is an instructional keep the camera zoomed in on the pistol!

i replaced my battery in my sirt pistol with a surefire 123 battery and now the slide has a hump in it above the battery and laser switch on top isnt as reachable now. i checked everything to see if it was lined up and it is. please help. thanks
