Tough call!! @@loganarowland I love them both for sure! The Sirui is FF and also macro so it wins in terms of flexibility and features. But it is also more expensive and heavier.

Great stuff! I just bought a used 6k pro and a SIRUI night walker but it doesn’t mount! Even though their website says the L mount works. I’m sending it back for a Jupiter.

Beautiful video! Absolutely love your cinematography! I've been thinking about buying a BMPCC 6K PRO for a while now. I have a Canon R5 and shoot 8K RAW on it, but can never get the same look as people get on 6K PRO. Do you have any experience with the R5 8K RAW?

Thanks a lot for the kind words!! I never shot with the R5 but I do still own the Eos R and shot RAW with my C200 many times before. I love the Canon look but whilst I think it is more neutral and easier to grade I always prefer to grade BM colors and can achieve the look I want better with BM.

From this footage it feels like this is a very versatile lens. The macro capabilities make it very intriguing as a one lens run and gun setup for handheld, which I tend to like.

Seems like you went for more saturation here and it looks great. Did that have anything to do with the lens?

I think it was due to the content (green mountains, bright flowers etc). That being said I do grade with a tad more saturation these days :)

Great video. Is the image from this similar to the DZO lenses you've tested recently and which would you rather shoot with in terms of the image character of each? I was almost settling on getting the DZO Vespids and hadn't considered the Sirui lenses. Both seem to give an image with a bit of character

Thanks!! The Sirui has more character than the DZO Pictor zoom, but as probably 'as much' as the Vespid Primes. That being said I only tested the Retros not the regular ones. I love both to be honest and was impressed with both. The Vespid have a larget set though but are more expensive as well. Tough call haha!

The Sirui is slightly cheaper and the macro ability is a nice bonus. DZO has a bigger set of focal lengths as you say though. Will give it some more thought

Coming to your area in November 20 for two weeks Just redid my BMPCC6K to be minimalistic No monitor or rails. Only one lens. Using NPF batteries mounted on handle and camera strap as a gimbal and redid the Shomodo x70 camera bag to hold cameras drone and clothes Is there any greenery on the ground or trees in valley’s still at this time of year?

I travel like that a lot, even with this lens I didn't have a rig at all! In terms of greenery it really depends on the year and altitude. Last year we had beautiful and warm weather in November but it's more orange than green I'd say. That being said areas with lots of Pine trees will stay green :)

Beautiful images as always, Flo. Looks like the new Sirui lens performed really well. Even when beautiful lenses like this are being created it’s tricky for me to move away from the versatility of my Sigma 18-35 which also has a near-macro minimum focus distance, the f1.8 aperture equates to being T2, and is so sharp it’s functions like a set of primes but I don’t have to change lenses.

How do you get such stable footage? I've been watching all of your videos and decided to get a BMPCC 6K Pro! It arrived a few days ago and I absolutely love the image, but can not get stable handheld footage. I use Canon EF 16-35 f4 L with IS. I also have a cage on the camera with a side handle and use the strap to create tension. It does get a little less shaky with the strap, but I still have a lot of micro jitters.

@@pavans9981 Hi! Actually I didn't, at that point I just wanted the IS to work. But I later learned that 6K Pro had an issue where it didn't properly work with some lenses in terms of IS. I ended up returning it. I recently got the 6K Full Frame and the IS on my Canon EF 16-35 also didn't work. As a matter of fact the IS didn't work on any of my EF lenses. But after updating the firmware to 8.3.2 IS started working on all of my lenses!
