I knew it was Oceanside from the very 1st second of the video, I miss it like crazy. It's such a special, laid back vibe that you can't find anywhere else. Great video!

It’s a great little town, I love it too. Was fun to capture a busy afternoon at the beach.

How would u compare thia to the viltrox 75 1.2 could u do a comparison ?

Hello Evan, one thing I pay attention alot in your videos is the quality of the image from phone-tv-computer, and love the consistency. Aside from screen calibrations*, i wanted to ask, when in davinci or premiere, do you export the same color space for all those platform displays? I know you use rec709 as seen in previous videos. But is there anything to account for, any nuances to make sure to do for one display over the other? Side note question, i wondered if you have ever had the need to use rec2020?
@EvanSchneider6 ай бұрын
Hi, thanks for the kind words. I grade and export all of my videos at Rec.709 Gamma 2.4, as that is what my reference display is calibrated to. I also make sure to grade everything in the proper lighting environment for Gamma 2.4 (BT1886), which is essentially a dimly lit room. Finally, I pay attention to my scopes, making sure skin tones sit at the proper value and shadows and highlights are retaining detail and not clipping. These variables ensure that the video will look good on different screens and different lighting environments. I haven't had the need to master in Rec.2020, but if I ever do HDR work in the future, that would be taken into consideration.

Is there vignetting in 75mm 1.2 max opening?

Is the image quality almost the same as their nightwalker “cine” lens line-up where it has that “soft” cine look or that “character” look. Or is it tack sharp?
@EvanSchneider6 ай бұрын
Pretty similar character as the Nightwalkers, I would say. Maybe a little sharper, but I only got the 75mm to test so I can’t say anything very confidently comparing the two sets.

@@EvanSchneider thank you so much! Kind of “mastered” photography and wanting to step it up to mastering “cinematography”, i might have problems jumping into fully manual cine lenses, i might start off with these sniper series.

Definitely inspired by, but not exactly. Just custom curves and adjustments.

56 or 75?
@EvanSchneider3 ай бұрын
If you’re only choosing one between those two, I’d go 56mm. But my favorite of the set is the 24mm
