Great rig! Attaching a mattebox to the rails which also clamps onto the lens would stop the play in longer lenses. We shoot with an FX9 and the Fujinon 18-55mm, which will nod with a follow focus without the mattebox locking it down.

Nice review. I've been looking at the F60 Follow Focus and your review might just tip me into getting one. Thanks for the video

I am using the 99 Wh battery on my x-h2s for a couple of months now, with no problems whatsoever. I connect the camera with a w235 dummy to 8V cable and the Atomos to DTap....

Using a dummy battery too, it's been working well!

How did you get that Tilta Baseplate Type VI to work with your Tilta XH-2s cage? They aren't supposed to be compatible.

Hey, great looking rig, just bought the SmallRig VB99 Pro, my first V mount for my Fujifilm XH2s. Only thing is the battery is now covering eye sensor on the camera and hence the tally lamp on camera body does not come on. Any work around for this?
@EvanSchneider5 ай бұрын
Awesome! There are settings for the tally light on the X-H2s. Or there’s a button next to the eye sensor on the right to toggle modes.

Hi, is there a way to record open gate 6.2k RAW internally in this camera and if not what external recorder do you recommend? I am really interested in possibly purchasing this camera thanks to your videos and I will definitely purchase through your links.
@EvanSchneider8 ай бұрын
You can record 6.2K ProResHQ in F-Log2 internally, which is what I would recommend. I personally don’t think external recorders with this cam are worth the extra cost and hassle.

Easy, Amazon! It’s just an adapter, not part of the full cable.

@@EvanSchneider yeah. I just ordered one. Hopefully it's deep enough to fit around the cage. my last one was too short.

I saw another review that said that the wooden wheel seamed it would be slippery if used in a very dry environment unlike rubber wheels if the lens focus would be on the heavier side. What is your take on this?
@EvanSchneider11 ай бұрын
I don’t see how it could ever be slippery. The texture on it is pretty easy to hold and rotate with precision.
@ETFootprints9 ай бұрын
It's slippery when it's too dry. Perhaps I'll varnish the wood in the future.

My F60 pins stopper snapped during delivery. It's made of cheap plastic material to block A-B metal pins. By cheap, I mean really cheap abs plastic. Bad design choice. Beware that if you're using lens with focus throw more than 200 degree, you need to purchase their bigger gear. Again it's just plastic gear and has to be purchased separately. Why not including the cheap plastic gear is beyond me. It's good product but not great. I suggest either get the cheaper version or just go for nucleus nano II.
@EvanSchneider9 ай бұрын
Yeah, it would be nice if they included multiple gears for different focus throws. But for the price I think it's still great value.

You’ll need a cage for whatever camera you have. Once you have that, you can attach this system pretty easily.
