The work just started at small section near college. This section work was not happening for more than 1 year. Per latest news in paper there will be delay of 6 months. It's a far fetch. Hope the OMR section from SRP to Sipcot get complete by 2026 end.

Kelambakkam - Kovalam is 3.5 KM. Metro should be extended up to Kovalam Beach. Kovalam is already a tourist spot. Many foreign tourists visit Kovalam. ECR traffic is also will reduce if Kovalan is connected by Metro. Tiruporur MLA is sleeping. Already, New 2nd International Airport planned at Tiruporur is shifted to Sriperumbur (Parandur)
