Great video! I also think it's important to note that Victoria sought out collaboration. She wasn't just discovered, she was sending her dossier to potential collaborators. Not all great creatives are accidentally discovered by their people. Many put in plenty of work to find their collaborators by banging down doors and consistently showing up ❤ So happy for Victoria!

I believe people are missing the point that winning this particular award is beneficial to the entire team, not just Beyoncé the individual. Everyone who contributed to the album also gets an award. This includes the song writers, producers, sound engineers, etc. Winning this particular award gives them more access to larger projects in the future and better negotiation power.

Hello beautiful thank you for returning. Thank you for this topic. Thank you for so elegantly breaking down the steps to success in this way. I watched Victoria speech and I could relate fifteen years at this was no overnight blow up because she kept her integrity and laid the foundation brick by brick. For me over the years I have encountered the things you mention. I have had success supporting survivors through ,y non profit. Others have acknowledge and benefitted from the platform yet the team continues to be my struggle. I’m not a social media person I do better with boots on the ground yet change has to come and share my successes virtually for sure so I say you inspired me to keep going today and I have never messaged you although I see you and following your work thanks so much a shift will happen and I will come back to give you your flowers for pouring into me. Your take on topics are always honest and vulnerable, which takes a lot of courage to do and is admirable. Your video topics have really helped me to think critically, challenge my beliefs, and gain an understanding of the specific problems black women face. I am Asian American and have been conditioned to behave in certain ways to fit into a predominately white corporate culture, and it really starts to wear on you. So I was excited when you brought up Issa Rae - I also watched Insecure for the first time recently, and was hoping to hear your thoughts on the show! Please keep doing what you are doing. Hugs, Jen
