Snow White and the seven Dwarves is such a beautiful classic film. I'm dreading the Disney live action updated version with a modern twist.

Thank you for posting these! I have to admit I've watched a lot of them and haven't left comment but it is totally appreciated. I'm pretty sure I've seen every one of these when they were originally broadcast. I followed these two since the PBS days in the mid-70s! Very cool to watch these again!

Their review of The Squeeze is hilarious. 🤣 I saw that movie when I was like ten years old and thought it sucked. I don’t even remember anything about it now, 35 years later, except maybe there was a scene with a severed thumb involved? Ugh.

Although I've gotten used to Gene putting down some classic movies, some of my all time favourite, I just can't understand him not liking Withnail and I? This film is genius, and a true comedy great, with one memorable scene after another. Roger, as always, gets it. RIP both of them. It's hard to believe Gene has been gone over 20 years now.

When Paul McGann was announced as the latest actor to play Doctor Who in the Mid ‘90s, I decided to check out Withnail and I, because I heard he was in it. Absolutely loved it. When Uncle Monty has the McGahnn character cornered in his underwear, I laughed so hard.

The words iconic and legendary are tossed around too frequently today, but make no mistake, Withnail & I is an absolutely iconic film, indubitably and still uniquely English in its style and humour. Don't hesitate to see it.

Feels so under appreciated but I absolutely love Disney’s Snow White. Left me with awful lasting nightmares from childhood into early adulthood, over the span of about 20 years, but I still watched it all the time! I stopped watching it for some time, and came back to it years later. It’s one of my all time favorite Disney movies. It’s held up. I love it.

It was my favourite video when I was a little kid, the music, the songs, the animation, the setting, just a lovely film, I probably watched it 100 times.

I like George Carlin's take on the Seven Dwarfs: "Happy was into grass, and grass alone. Maybe occasionally a little hash on the weekends, but, Happy, that's all he did. Sleepy was into reds. Grumpy, too much speed. Doc was the connection. Sneezy was a full-blown coke freak. Dopey was into everything. He always had his arm out and his leg up. And the one we always forget, because he was, Bashful. Bashful didn't need drugs, he was paranoid on his own."

Snow White is one of the most, if not the most, groundbreaking movies of all time. It was the first feature length fully animated film. And when they were making it, many people believed that people would not pay money to see a cartoon (they were always included along with the feature film), or to take the characters in a cartoon seriously in those scarier scenes because it had never been done before. In fact, it was called "Disney's Folly" because Walt bet everything on it and his studio probably would have gone bankrupt if it had bombed. The entire Disney empire, including every Disney movie, cartoon, theme park, cruise ship, and TV show, owes its very existence to Snow White's success.

Normally they are on about having widescreen or Letterbox 16:9 in VHS releases, just as they do for Laserdisc. Someone said it was DVD that made Letterbox standard. But it may have been the introduction of widescreen TVs, or going to digital television in that ratio in the early 2000s.

They shouldn't have shown that RoboCop scene in any of the previews. I wish I could have watched that scene in the theaters without knowing what was coming. It would have been cool to experience "You now have 15 seconds to comply" in a vacuum.
