You have blessed my life and I am so grateful for finding you as I did many years ago. Your music has helped to heal me in times when I so desperately needed it. Thank you, Sissel. Wow - It's June 26th 2020, and I can't think of anything the world needs more right now, especially so in the US, than to slow down and know that God is over all, and that we are his children - brothers and sisters - all of us. What a beautiful message and outstanding music. Thank you.

"Perfect !"...it's the only word to describe this lady. She bring's nothing but peace, enjoyment to people who listen & watch her perform. Her voice is as many have said angelic. Her control is fantastic & puts warmth, atmosphere into everything she sings. The music reminds me of the late John Barry another favourite of mine.

This song and how it is sung and played, melts me every time, and I end up ready to be re-moulded by the Heavenly potter to face the day in Gods strength instead of my own weakness. Bless you all out there. I Love You.

I will NEVER forget when i first heard this last summer! I struggle with severe depression, anxiety and chronic suicidality. The last few weeks before the pioneer day concert, i desperately wanted to be done with my life and I couldn't stop thinking about it. I will never forget how frozen i was to the floor when i first saw this sitting from the second row. I literally saw myself as the only one in the room with Mack telling the choir, "Make this really strong for Will everyone! He has really been in the dark and he needs us so desperately right now!"

For those who don't know... The song was written and composed by Chuck Girrard on his debut solo album. Please listen to the original song by Chuck Girrard, you will be blessed. Sissel's version is just as beautiful and powerful as the original. Both versions are well worth anyone's time to be taken into the presence of our God and they both do that...

Sissel, you might not remember, but about 25 year ago, you and I enjoyed midsummer eve by mutual friends on Strandvejen, Rungsted. You sat accros the table, young, relaxed and humble. The bondfire was ignited on the beach and we all sang "Midsommervisen". My wife and I stood next to a friend, singer from the Royal Opera. To your singing she commented "you can hear she is not schooled". My wife an I looked at each other and we have since then listened to you, thinking: Thanks god, you are not schooled in an Opera quire............ With Love, Henning

I am glad some conservatoire didn't get it's hands on her and turn her into another Garanca or Netrebko. Brilliant though they are, we've got them already and there is room for Sissel and the humanity that comes via her voice and performance. She likes singing to the masses of folk who will never darken the door of Royal Opera. And unlike so many female pop singers, she has a quality voice that makes one listen. There are others too like Westenra & Jenkins & Brightman. But each listener can choose accordingly as their heart responds. By the by: I am convinced she's been voice-coached (apart from singing in a good choir as a youngster). Somewhere around her early 20s her voice made a giant leap in ability. That didn't happen by accident or nature. As for her performing skill, that may be from within and God given.

Hello, dear Sissel.....here in the mid west of America, June 25, 2020.about 10:30 in the evening, it was announced you’d be singing this beautiful song. Even though I was watching a movie, I cast it aside to listen. I wish I hadn’t because now I have tears. It’s beautiful, Sissel! The presentation really touches my heart as it will all those that stop and listen. You know there were many tears when you sang it with the Mormon Tabernacle choir! They will all find this and enjoy as much as I. I think it will help me relax and save my soul. I really needed to take the time and just listen over and over! Thank you, always! 💜

Lyric In the midst of my confusion In the time of desperate need When I am thinking not too clearly A gentle voice does intercede Slow down, slow down, be still Be still and wait, on the Spirit of the Lord Slow down and hear His voice And know that He is God In the time of tribulation When I'm feeling so unsure When things are pressing in about me Comes a gentle voice so still, so pure Slow down, slow down, be still, my child Be still and wait, on the Spirit of the Lord Slow down and hear His voice And know that He is God And know that He is God
