They always show the big classics @ X-mas! 3 days in a row. I think at least for the last 30 years! X-mas without Sissi, is like halloween without pumpkin! I'd say at least half of the country was watching it religiously on TV before it was released on DVD.

I think they did a great job translating the lines word by word into english, cant find any mistake, god Franz's mother sounds like the Queen of England with her posh accent! But I miss Sissi's/Romy's original voice in this! Ever since I as was a little child it is tradition in Germany to show the 3 Sissi movies on Christmas days, year after year, it's cult! Romy was the best. It's weird watching her dubbed into english by someone unknown with a whiny, high-pitched, boring voice.

What...? I never knew that there are translations of Sissi in so many languages. Thought that it was a huge hit in Germany but thats all. LOL I´m very surprised.

aww franz is soo in love with sissy although he is jealous and wants her back he still trust her and believed in her, i think sissy needed a good advisor, she should have not neglected the austrian and the other people in the empire she focused only on the Hungarian and nothing more, but then i think that was her way of escaping that serpent of a mother in law.

I read a lot of books about princess Sisi. And believe me count Andrushi never told to Sisi that he loved her. And more Sisi was completely faithful to husband. It was incredible strong love and if it happened she would has told to Franz about it. Because in those days that kind of behaviour with royalty was not allowed.

I think I like the cartoon Sissi romance better. I've not seen the movie part in sequence....I saw when they got married...now they have a 3 year old little girl. How long has she been in Hungary? Why does not Franz go to see her?

I don't like Franz so much, but I love Count Andrassy, he's my favourite. Just watch the scene when he comes back from his procription, he is dashing. Romy is a very sweet Sissi, and of course I also like her acting in Victoria. And - altough Sissi isn't a history film - it's a very nice film - I love it.

Perhaps Karlheinz Böhm is speaking English, Romy Schneider has definitely been dubbed!!! I know her voice when she is speaking German and French and that is not her at all!!! Archduchess Sophie has certainly been dubbed. Never ever is this Vilma Degischer (the name of the actress) speaking English!!!! And Count Andrassy has also been dubbed!
