I’ve been using the Large 95L version of this bag on my sissy bar for 6 years of travelling across Canada and the US as my sole piece of luggage. It’s brilliant, I keep my rain gear in the side pocket (top when mounted on the bike). I secure mine with two small ratchet straps.

Awesome little set up. I’ve just put a sissy bar on my bike for that exact reason, but wondered what the best way to use it was. Now I know. Thanks

What I did to alleviate the hassle of having to strap down, secure, and/or ensure my bags were balanced to the back of my bikes sissy bar was to buy a trike. I bought a 2019 Harley Davidson Tri-Glide Ultra. Can't get any easier to load then by simply putting my suitcase in the back. Unless I could get my wife to carry & load suitcases!? Respect 👊😎👊
@deadmansclique34633 жыл бұрын
haha! You can ask her Steve, but you best be wearing a gum shield! Nice work on the Trike, I bet she's a beaut!

Military surplus bags also make for some good sissy bar bags. A few mods here and there, and you've got something that'll outlast all the other name brands out there.

Do you have a rain cover for it? Or is it waterproof?
@deadmansclique34633 жыл бұрын
The NF bag is waterproof, but waterproof is relative to how hard it is raining and how much time you are spending on the rain! Believe me, after 14 years in the military, I can assure you that NOTHING is completely waterproof. I had a back-up plan. I bought a ruck-sack 'dry bag' from Go Outdoors that was big enough to slip over the top my the North Face bag and then secure it again with a cam-strap or bungee, and it's good to go in the heaviest of rain. For normal amounts of rain without prolonged exposure, the bag itself is workable for sure.

Sorta wish I saw this vid before I paid £180 for an exfil 80 bag. 😂
@deadmansclique34633 жыл бұрын
The exfil bag is pretty cool and completely fit for purpose, just with a hefty price tag. This solution works well too.
