Btw, they did disband but are still active as soloist, actresses, hosts, coaches/judges for younger groups and are still very supportive of each other hanging out pretty frequently. About Sistar19 they supposedly also disbanded with the full group but recently reunited doing like a special comeback

Hyolyn has an amazing performeance skills and has amazing voice. You should check her performancen in Queendom season 2. Also she is the one who do the high notes and sings the most in the group (for example, you asking for who is doing the high notes in TOUCH MY BODY is her) and yes, they dance in heels EDIT: I highly recommend ''ALONE'' and ''Give it to me''

In the early years of their debut, they had frequent accidents on stage, ranging from minor falls to broken bones. Only after that, they are professional idols who can dance comfortably on high heels.

Hi! I'm a Star1 (Sistar's Fandom), It's so cool to see someone reacting to them in 2024. I'd like to clarify a few of your doubts 1. Sistar is know for a fresh a sexy image. They are korea "Four Sexy Ladies" and "Summer Queens", as many articles have stated. Even though their debut, Push Push, and the singles released later had a small sucess, they consolidated their fame in 2012 with the songs Alone and Loving U. The other songs that you reacted are more recent and Sistar won many awards and international fame with them. 2. They decided to disband in 2017 after the end of their contract with Starship, while ate their peak. THey released the song Lonely, and had a few stages to properly say goodbye to their fans. It was very beautiful and sad at the same time. 3. Hyolyn changed the romanization of her name to make it easier for international fans. She's a incredible singer and used to be Sistar's Main Vocal and is also a part of SISTAR19 with Bora, the rapper of the group. Hyolyn and Soyou are pretty famous solo singers too, they have many hit songs in korea, and also sang a bunch of OST's. After Sistar's disbandment Dasom stuck with acting, while the others tried different projects, but they are very close friends and are always doing features togheter. They even reunited for a medley of their songs in 2022. 4. I personaly recommed you to react to Alone and Loving U, because they are the main reason of Sistar's fame. SISTAR were nicknamed the sisters of summer and it was said that summer never really started until SISTAR had their comeback. SISTAR was a Starship Entertainment group who debuted in 2010. (Hence their name, SIS-STAR, Star-ship ;D) The group is made up of Hyolyn who is the leader and main vocalist with diva Whitney Houston-type vocals, Bora who is the main rapper (Fun fact: Bora in Korean means purple), SoYou who is a lead vocalist and Dasom who is the maknae and a lead vocalist. Fun fact: We see several of the future members of Boyfriend and even pre-debut Yang Yoseob from Highlight/Beast in "Push Push." And yep, Monsta X is a Starship group, so the members were featured in Sistar's "Shake It" MV. Second gen. was such a great era. This generation was so iconic because there was hardly any rivalries and everyone was friends regardless of what company they were from. The early days of second gen. were when the Kpop industry really started to hit its stride and many programs and events were just getting established, so Kpop groups spent a lot of time together on variety shows and backstage at music programs, etc., and they established amazing friendships. As you saw, SISTAR's concept is all about embracing a more sexy style. They were known for their sexy outfits and dance moves, for wearing heels in everything they did, and their amazing vocals. I would consider them one of Kpop's diva girl groups. SISTAR had a unique style for a Kpop group. With their reputation for representing everything summer, one of the things they became known for was that they were one of the only Kpop groups, and some of the very few Koreans, who embraced tanning. Part of SISTAR's look was the fact that they actually wanted to be tan. In western culture getting a suntan in the summer is equated by the majority of people as a way to look healthy and have a summer glow. However, as you may have noticed, in Korean culture the whiter and pailer a person's skin is the more beautiful they are considered. That is why we see most idols and celebrates avoid the sun as much as possible because they don't want to darken their skin. I have even heard American Kpop stars say that people suggested that they bleach their skin, to get rid of their tan and to make their skin as white as possible. And that is also why you often hear Koreans comment about or point out how someone has a darker skin tone, etc. SISTAR decided to disband in 2017 when their contract was up after their 7th anniversary and now the members are all solo artists and actors. (I can't wait for you to check out some of their solo content.) However, Sistar19, which is a sub-unit with Hyolyn and Bora -- the 19, I believe, is because they both were 19 at the time of the sub-unit's debut -- just had a comeback at the beginning of the year with their title track "No More (Ma Boy)" and B-side "Saucy" on their 2 track digital album No More (Ma Boy) after more than 10 years. (BTW, Sistar19's debut song was "Ma Boy," so the title track and album is a reference to how they have now grown up, etc.) SHINee's Key is really good friends with SoYou and, as you may remember, she was even featured in his solo debut song "Forever Yours." (She wasn't in his MV, just her vocals, but she participated in several comeback stage performances with Key.) If you want to get to know Hyolyn -- the member you seemed to gravitate to the most -- better, she has an interview with Eric Nam on Dive Studios.

SISTAR THE SUMMER QUEENS!! SISTAR19 is a sub unit of Sistar usually with and adult theme hence the 19. They disbanded in 2017 and only HYOLYN became a soloist. SISTAR19 came back at the start of the year, like a reunion single only.

I love that you paid attention to the heels, they used to practice in heels, if you looks up a dance practice video (for push push or So cool you can see it), part of their charm was hard choreo in high heels. Fun fact: the boys that were seen in the Push Push mv will later debut as Starship's boy band BOYFRIEND. They all left starship, but unfortunately weren't able to keep their original name, but they still release music under the name BF. Monsta X members in the Shake It MV 😂 Yes there is a sport such as field hockey ahah)) And yeah, there were several girl groups who performed wearing high heels like 9Muses, AfterSchool and Sistar. AOA did too i believe. Groups in general were more mature back in the day, you could hardly see underaged members in the group. Ooh Brown Eyed Girls was a group with adult women and very sexy concepts. Edit: i absolutely forgot about SECRET!!! They were an amazing group, sadly they had very shitty company.
