Also hyolyn (the one who you said you think like the voice of most in give it to me) is now a soloist who has her own company! She has continued releasing alot of summer bops like Sistar did! Not every song of hers is summery but ALOT are. I highly recommend dally, see sea, bae, layin low! Those are my faves of hers and despite her being from Sistar who were very popular she's criminally underrated now and so I'm always trying to spread her name etc around to get her more fans

I remember them being from a small company, taking up gg from big companies, sweeping charts, and even slaying variety shows and ISAC (they have gold medals in almost every sports, from running to archery). Other groups even perform their songs at concerts and variety shows. Please do more of their songs: Shady Girl, Loving U, Shake It, How Dare You, B-side Ok Go, Follow Me, Crying, Hold On Tight, Come and Get Me. Some of these bsides have live stages. Eden’s Crush!!! 😻💜😻 I can’t believe you mentioned them! No one ever knows that song! Such a bop from the early 2000s. Sistar are truly the Goddesses of Summer Songs & I think part of it is because there songs are often Summer, but different flavors of the season. You will def need to check out Lonely. It’s strangely not as sad as it sounds, but it was a lovely Swan Song. & you will really like Sistar19’s Gone Not Around Any Longer, especially the choreography! 💜 Plus the song is another great one. Sistar also feature on an Italian DJ (Giorgio Moroder… think he’s a DJ, he might just be a composer or something)’s song One More Day. It’s a really good & under-appreciated song with a REALLY fantastic music video. Let’s just say it features representation you don’t often see in Kpop. It’s also I think all English? Finally. I hope Miss A are on your list of groups to watch. Other than being another Girl Group from about the same time, with 4 members, & suchlike… but the media tried to make them rivals, & they’re just another really good girl group. But they choreography & vids are definitely what you will like, & I think their music too. Plus Hush is very very very iconic on its own.

Oh my so glad you're checking out 2nd gen and SISTAR definitely one of the top GG of that time! They have claimed the Summer Queens for obvious reasons. Their company Starship Entertainment was never down on budget (tho it was a smaller company in the industry) and did justice on all their promotions. SISTAR and EXID were the GG I stan during those times (I know you did EXID as well) and their vocals truly shines during those eras (not discounting their genres too). I can go on talking about these 2 GG but i'll leave you to discover these older gems at your own pace. BTW, the man in "Give It To Me" MV was their choreographer and he did the filming with them candidly at the end. The girl you liked on her vocal is Hyolin for sure and she went solo after they disbanded in 2017 with their last SISTAR single "Lonely"". They did have a subunit called SISTAR 19 (Hyonlin and Bora (the rapper) with the iconic track "Ma Boy". You should also check out Hyolin's pre-solo debut 'One Way Love' After Hyolin went solo she setup her own company managing and producing all her own songs until today. Btw if u didn't know the leader of Sistar, Hyolyn, the one with the huskier Mariah Carey voice just came out with a come back song called Wait. Give it to Me is one of my favorite tracks from a gen2 group. Love that you’re going through and discovering a bunch of iconic groups lately. Would also love to watch you check out T-ARA, APINK, and/or Girl’s Day. Also, a more underrated gg recommendation: LABOUM. The group is currently inactive and the members are doing their own things, but they are one of my favorite ggs with some great songs and amazing vocals. Personally I’d recommend: Journey to Atlantis (Fresh Adventure), Shooting Love, Hwi Hwi, and Between Us. These few give off different vibes, but I could have named any of the MV tracks really because I love them all.
