I'm always apprehensive of hearing the perspective of a straight black man speak on what it means to be a "man." Typically because it's usually some spruced up , hyper-masculine idea of what a man is "supposed" to be. Which normally consist of all things that are tough and rigid and a need to cater to women. Although, I show everyone in my space, especially women, respect and love; at least those who matter of course. I often find that straight black men speak in a dimensional way, as if there is only one correct way of being a man. However, I like his responses, he seems to get it.

There has to be some balance and a difference between masculine and feminine energy. Even in a same sex relationship, there will be balance because that's how the universe deems it. W/o work.
