Great interview. I hope to hear Janelle's 'voice' a bit more. I can see that Christine is happy and excited but she does need to let Janelle have the first answer to some of the questions in future interviews. I feel sorry for several of the children and how Kody treated them. The total lack of involvement by Kody during the surgery experience for Ysabel was THE WORST, in my opinion. I'm not trying to take away from the pain of Garrison and Gabe's experiences, but OMG ... poor Ysabel having to hear her father's words and be given a lecture on not becoming bitter because HE could not be bothered supporting what was happening to her. What a God-awful person he came across as, in my humble opinion.

They don't need all that toxicity, because it wasn't just their bad marriages, it was Kody and Robyn and the toxic damage they inflicted onto the lives of these hard working independent women who were working diligently on their own to support themselves and all of their kids without Kody and Robyn's contribution, we saw it all. That's why the ignorance shines when Kody and Robyn speak, they are too high on their perch to recognize, these ladies don't have to say a word, they put all of his idiocracy out there, the audience is not dumb, we watched it. Kody and Robyn do for themselves, then have at it, stop saying you want polygamy when you thwarted these women and all of the children out of your family dynamic to cling on to your head wife. Your choice, your consequence guy. These women are glowing, they no longer look so tired and drained (I've lived that exhaustion myself) and once you free yourself, your life begins. I am so happy for them and wish them the best. I want to see them continue being honest and speaking out about this for all the other women out there who are trapped in that mindset and are prey to manipulators and liars. When you look back from season 1, you really notice how badly Kody specifically treated Christine. Not only the other 2 OG wives, but how outwardly he picked on Christine. It would come off settle at times, but alot of times not. I think he envied her character.

I agree! With the other wives, he could more easily project one of his character flaws on to them by twisting one of their traits, as narcissists always do to avoid shame. With Janelle he could say she lacks empathy and is materialistic (that's what he is) for her pragmatism, and with Meri he could point to her explosive tendencies when angered (that's what he is), but with Christine, aside from some jealousy she exhibited, what could he really seize upon and project on to her? Especially when she woke up to what he really is, and stopped asking for her needs to be met. He could no longer call her needy and jealous (that's what he is) in the way he could before. He lost control of her. I also think his marriage to Christine was the most 'romantic' in a limerence kind of way, so when he actually fell into major limerence with Robyn, the relationship with Christine was totally displaced, because that was the backbone of that connection. He had a strong foundation of friendship with Meri and Janelle, but with Christine, it was about romantic love and when he married Robyn, he switched off from Christine entirely. That must have been so painful for her.

The mistake Meri made was to divorce Kody years ago so that "he could legally adopt Robyn's 3 children from previous marriage". IF she had stayed married to him (on paper), I bet Kody would have tried to make their marriage work. Kody is selfish. Too selfish to see anyone else, except in what they can and will do for HIM. He wants his kids to travel to his palace, and be deferential, not only to him, but to their (never acted like a) mother, Robyn. He was asking too much of the kids to always travel to him, always keep a knee bent, and a head bowed. He also makes up 'stories' in his head to explain why it's somebody else's fault the relationship is trash.

I honestly believed Christine was never really comfortable with Robyn “marrying” into the family! She was pregnant at the wedding and questioned Kody’s love for her (Christine)! Janelle always presented as a comfortable “self made” woman in those days!

Christine and Janelle are such beautiful women. I'm so happy for them. Kody says he never loved any wife except Robyn I don't believe it. I think he's trying to really hurt them all and the love he has for Robyn is on a different level and whatever she's very submissive to him.
