How could any of us live and thrive under somebody’s thumb? And then when she didn’t put on that happy face every day he took on another wife. And then finally Robin the only one that he ever loved because he was such a child he didn’t know until then what love was. His mother never showed him love his father never showed him love if nobody ever showed him love how could he possibly have known what it was until Robin showed him what it was. Kody is such a malignant narcissist and soooo unaware. Even when Robyn said “you realize how bad that sounds right?” He stared blankly at her. He really doesn’t get how bad he sounds. Him telling Meri that she has to make up the 20 years that she treated him horribly (according to him) before he will work on their relationship is just downright cruel. And ok we know that happened in season 2 bc they’re in the rentals in Las Vegas. So why would Meri ever consider the move to Flagstaff? She liked Vegas. Had friends and a community there. She has said before that Kody told her he would work on the relationship if she moved (if I’m remembering correctly) so I’m thinking while she still had ‘the list’ to work on he may have said “if you sell your home in Vegas and move to Flagstaff I won’t wait the 20 years to start working on a relationship with you.” Bc I think it was more important for him to be able to get that equity out of the homes in Vegas and get the wives names off them than it was for him to be punitive with Meri. I believe that’s why she so eagerly moved. He was just cruel to her and used her for his (and Robyn’s) own means to an end. I cannot stand him or Robyn. They deserve each other. I personally have always had sympathy for Meri. I do think she has a strong personality but I feel like she had the most gut punches to cause her to not be happy go lucky. Not being able to have more children while your husband has child after with other people, melting down her wedding ring, marrying her brothers ex wife, having to divorce him for Robyn, being made to feel like an outsider all the time. I think in the later years she really tried to mend fences with the others but they were no longer interested. I think part of Meris abrasiveness was a product of her situation. She now seems happy and almost lighter and she has oodles of great friends so she can't be that bad now.

I agree Meri has been through alot. I can't imagine dealing with your husband having babies with other women while you struggle to get pregnant. I had fertility issues and there is no way my heart could have taken that. We didn't have any children so at least Meri has 1. Infertility is so hard to deal with . I'm so happy that Meri finally left. I hope her life turns out good as well as Christine and Janelle.

All of these "deep" fake conversations between Kody and Robyn this season are an attempt to 1) rehab Robyn's public image and try to convince viewers the breaks with the other wives were all Kody's idea (which will have the added benefit of making Kody more palatable to the manosphere); and 2) to try to take the show over so it features Kody, Robyn and their kids alone. Personally, I think they should be removed from the show so we can follow the continuing stories of the REAL sister wives - Meri, Janelle and Christine - and their kids.

But, R was playing her own game there. M had only 1 child, who was self sufficient and not living at home anymore. M was working hard and doing OK, so she had less outgoings & more disposable income than R. So, if the finances are all shared, R benefits more than M does, by her staying in the family. Robyn wasn't changing as much simply because she still had her brood around her.....still does. She has no idea what it was like for Janelle & Christine. Janelle had 3 kiddos out of the nest & wanted to still be able to have times to gather with her whole brood around her... same with Christine. That meant going where those grown kids were. And because those kids & their mothers wanted to still stay close, it meant all of them having times to gather together. I really don't understand people but the same thing kind of happened to me. I was at the gas station I missed a step and kind of slipped and I fell on my bum the first thing I did was call my significant other and told him about it once he realized I was okay he scolded me. So later that evening I called my sister let her know what happened to me and when she found out that I was okay she scolded me as well so I don't understand people 😅 i guess
