I have always said that Kody is and was physically abusive. Those of us who have been victims of physical abuse can spot it a mile away, we can read between the lines. Most of the family continues to avoid that subject. We got a little bit of an acknowledgment in Gwen's now deleted KZbin when she said that Kody will leave marks on her. You can see in a lot of scenes that Kody is holding back because cameras are present. Remember season 8 episide 6?

As a DV survivor, I totally agree. My spidey senses say he has been more than verbally abusing them for many years. All you have to do is watch the “ride a bike” scene with Truley. Mikelty’s horse riding incident, and when Dayton was allowed to ride the quad without a helmet, and little instruction on safe riding habits. His temper tantrums on camera are proof he can not control his temper. Polygamy in itself is abusive. Even Robin appears to be abused, her kids too. TLC is complicit (Duggars, Little people, SW) all have been proven to show abusive relationships.

The most chaotic, crazy moment of that Christmas Ep. where Meri sleds into the cabin was when Christine pulled Kody aside to say she felt like he didn't want to be with her anymore. He was showing up really late and leaving super early, and that was way back in season 2, I think. She was obviously dealing with that since Robyn joined the family! Disgusting! Kody Brown is one of the most despised people on tv. I can't stand to look at him, let alone hear him whine every time he opens his mouth! I hope Christine takes he and Robyn to the cleaners!! Oh, and Leon was being a total brat watching their siblings get to move into their houses in Vegas! Imagine how the rest of them felt always seeing her have more of everything! Food, clothes, new everything!!!

Robyn always has to steal the spotlight in every situation. Kody said he didn't like Christine and you can see Aurora and Brianna are with him, he's praising one of them saying they have been really helpful. I'm sure they ran back to Robyn saying he told Christine he didn't like her. What an asshole. I remember Robyn always made him bring her kids anytime he was going to see another wife or doing things with them. Notice how Robyn wants to shut Kody up about the one house idea. You can see it on her face that she doesn't want it. She kept quiet and didn't come out and say she didn't want it. She knew they weren't going to actually live with everyone.

What everyone neglects to say is that Meri and Kody were legally married to each other when they bought the houses in the cul-de-sac. It was not the state of Meri's credit rating that was the problem, it was the state of KODY and Meri's combined credit rating that was blocking the purchase. Everyone, including Leon, was blaming Meri when Kody was the major player in the problem.

Why was Maddie "going to be a legend in that town?" (almost the last thing you said). Did I miss something? I agree, the mini bikes was more recent, but should be included. There was also a scene that happened before one Thanksgiving that should be mentioned, and it's when they had that big gathering in Las Vegas. Kody walks in and the women and extended family are setting the multiple tables at Christine's and Kody freaks out about the table arrangement, starts blaming Meri. Everyone completely freezes like they're expecting him to blow more...then Christine steps up and claims responsibility for the tables, letting Meri off the hook. It's a stunning scene and one that started my skepticism about Kody being a decent person.
