Lovely to see you can moisturise locks. I have Sisterlocks and the general consensus was Never oil or condition your hair to avoid build up and dirt. I dyed my hair so now spray water all over daily and oil my edges with a combo of argan, jojoba,sweet almond , avocado with a touch of lavender essential oil every few days. I’ve seen a big difference. But after seeing you give your hair a good conditioning, I’m following suit.🤗👍

I just changed my hair routine and I know haven’t posted in awhile. I use more oils then creams now. I didn’t have much issue with Julie up just made my hair feel heavy. The two creams I use is a cream leave in and a cream deep conditioner.

I do my hair based off the fact that I dye it a lot and I have naturally dry hair! I’ve recently just switched to oils and only use two cream products now. My leave in and my deep conditioner are the cream products.

How many times a week do you do your moisturizing technique and how many times a week do you use the night time treatment.?

I have really dry hair so I try to do it whenever I feel necessary. I usually every few days 3/4 days but now I’ve switched over from using so much cream products because my hair felt heavy. Now I use more oils and only two cream products. Cream conditioner and a cream leave in.

I switch it up. I don’t have a set shampoo I use I try to experiment with my hair and see which is the best. The deep conditioner I use is Suoer Cholesterol by Queen Helen & Mielles leave in works wonders for my hair.

Doesn’t all those creams cause build up on locs ?

I usually do a apple cider vinegar rinse every so often so whatever build up there is it will ashes right out. I don’t normally have a problem build up

How long have you had your SL? I’m afraid of some major slippage even after 2.5 yrs loc’d.

I’ve only had my Sisterlocks for 2.5 years! But I don’t experience much slippage. The very front of my hair is having a hard time locking and so have a few in the very back of my head that just REFUSE to lock but the rest of head is perfect! Try not to use too many creams or oils on your hair. The less product the better.

Lols honestly I do this every couple of days because I don’t want my Locs to break! Nothing worst then dry broken Locs 😖😖 but you’re right. These products have my hair smelling like coconuts & Shea butter 😂😂

You have traditional locks, right? The title of your KZbin video says Sisterlocks. One important difference in these two styles is that Sisterlocks require no product. If you hydrate from within (drink plenty of water) you don’t need product.

I have Sisterlocks in this video. They were pretty new at first. Now Ive been growing my hair almost 5 years and they slowly but surely became micro locks. I’ve combined some of them
