Ana, I enjoy watching your shows. Todays topic really has me thinking. I was the recipient of incest by my brother. I told my parents of each episode. After years , my parents told him he had to move out. My Mom told my aunt that he was moving out but not the reason why. My aunt ended up taking him in. He molested her two young daughters. He got marred and ended up molesting his two baby daughters. All this shit happened because my parents did nothing. I wish I could have been that brave back then. I am 74 now.

You more then brave, you told your parents. What is wrong with them and your Aunt is what's frightening. Which makes me think-no offence-but I think it's clearly a generational issue in your family. The side of your Aunt-your Mum or Dad?. Cause the fact she was fine with it and didn't mind he did it to her children says a lot.

Those family members of the two sisters, if they were adults when the girls were being abused and privy to what was happening in any way, they deserve nothing but a freaking charge and jail time themselves, certainly no thanks from the two women that had to go through abuse. What have they got to be thankful for? Years of abuse ignored by other family? Hell nah. If anything, they should beg for their forgiveness
@wanimalus10 ай бұрын
Absolutely. If those family members were aware of the abuse and did nothing to stop it, they should be held accountable for their inaction. They don't deserve any gratitude from the survivors; instead, they should be seeking forgiveness for their negligence. It's heartbreaking to think about the years of suffering ignored by those who should have protected them.
@TheIndigo1child10 ай бұрын
Who are you to judge what their family did and did not know and what the girls should be thankful for? We have no idea what they knew. People are abusive all the time with family members having no idea. Unless the girls themselves come out and say their family knew and did nothing then we have no right to accuse people of being terrible people with zero evidence.

So proud of these two sisters. It’s really hard to share something like this when it happens, since there’s so much sigma against some people that have gone through similar situation. I just hope he does time when he’s found guilty and the girls get the therapy she needs to come out in a better place. I hope ppl that seen this will be more willing to speak on their dark and lonely daily guilt that’s killing them inside. 🙏🏽

@tkdb31710 ай бұрын
@featheredsunsets4675 His has nothing to do with ageism 😂 . Americans don't understand how bizarre random gun ownership is to people from other countries. It was a genuine enquiry because in my country 🇦🇺 and the UK, only soldiers, cops and criminals carry guns. And most shooting victims are part of the criminal world. We rarely get average, innocent citizens getting shot. Like, almost NEVER.
@Crows-m8t10 ай бұрын
@tebohokoomadebie6981 I understand it, and it was Agist if you read the 1st sentence. It's been a thing since the Brits came over with their very own guns to the US 😉

And here is the US, CRIMINALS carry plenty. And they like going after INNOCENT people who don't carry any kind of weapon. Come to a ghetto here, Somewhere in LA, Near the Mexiacm border, Chicago, NYC, Florida, basically anywhere thats a HOT SPOT and you'll change you4 mind real fast.

Yes, I couldn't watch anything about or that includes animal abuse either. What really bugs me is when I'm watching a true crime show & just out of nowhere in the story the narrator starts talking about animal abuse -- AND In hideous detail -- O.M.G. 😰🤢😩😭. Why can they not give a warning ahead of time in these stories?? And I do NOT at all mean your mention of that thing I do not even want to give a name to here, or to promote it, altho this info was pretty disturbing to me too (I'm pretending I just didn't hear it!!). So, we need to be warned ahead of time, always, & then we can choose to listen to & watch graphic animal abuse, or not. (Sickening!!! Animal abuse porn for sickos!!) I HATE it when I hear this kind of content & actual details of it are just thrown out at me in the middle of a crime story, & when ofc I'm not ever expecting it -- CAN.NOT deal with it. If there were not loyal, beautiful, gentle, sweet & brave animals in this world, I probably wouldn't even be here today -- I owe them EVERYthing. I even had a cat once who jumped in & protected me when someone was about to attack me (when things were just very loudly verbal, but also meant to be, & was!!, really threatening to me). He jumped in, loudly hissing & obviously ready to attack any second -- when I, at least, certainly believed an attack against me was imminent. This beautiful, brave little boy was my quietest, most gentlemanly & reserved cat, but also happened to be the smartest one too -- & damned lucky for me that he was there, I have to say. The man then thought twice about what he was planning, & instead just took off, but while also looking totally stupid as he yelled nasty things at my cat instead as he left!! A total ahole). 😻 💝

I am in No way saying that the victims don’t deserve their day in court. & justice. But Ladies, does it really matter wtf found him? Even something as horrible as the experience must have been for those two sisters, why does it seem like the true crime is being overshadowed by who the credit should go to. Just another way this world is losing sight of the real & important issue, and instead the story is about LOOK WHAT I DID? My apologies if this offends anyone but, at the same time? Im really not. Why does life take place on social media platforms ? I preferred the days when ‘platform’ meant a shoe.
