Alamat is the P-Pop group that advocates Filipino culture and showcases it to the world by mixing Filipino folk and modern musical elements. You can hear in their songs that they use Filipino folk musical instruments (if you are familiar with them). They can also be seen dressing in Filipino traditional clothes, with sometimes a modern twist, in their music videos and live performances. Their dance choreographies also mix Filipino folk and modern dances. Their songs sometimes have lyrics from some of the Philippine languages that a member can speak.

Speaking of Jhoanna, she was also the lead lady in the song Misteryoso from Cup of Joe and that MV was only released recently. Alamat is my second favourite PPop boy group after SB19 and they have songs that featured girls from other ppop girl groups like Gayuma has AJ from G22. If you want to see the other Bini girls in great Filipino MVs, Bini Maloi was on Dilaw by Maki and Bini Stacy was on Sining by Dionela. Both these songs are awesome listens too.

@@FullOnKPOP Just to set expectations though, the artists being recommended do not fall under the 'PPOP' category. They do fall under the overarching OPM (Original Pinoy/Philippine Music) music genre. They are very good artists and these are very good songs, but it's to showcase the depth that Philippine music goes waaay beyond just PPOP.

The PPOP rise movement is quite unifying in the goal of bringing Filipino music to the global stage. PPOP groups do not have a sense of competition against each other (not sure about their managements though), and usually the members of different groups are friends. Collabs are quite common

Sadly the fans are toxic thats the bad part but luckily all ppop artist are all friends only the fandom are toxic.

thanks for reacting to ALAMAT! hope to see more reaction from them, promise you they have one of the best discography and its a no skip. please check out their songs, here's some of my recos; Dagundong (tackles about Ph history) a heavy rap song Dayang ( means princess or darling) rnb song ILY ILY ( about overseas filipino workers) multi genre song and multi-lingual song Day and Night ( about Magindara, a mermaid ,sea creature from Ph) summery vibe song, used 2 langauges Gayuma ( love potion, to be enchant) Cyberpunk style / genre and please do react to their wishbus performances they are good at live and their harmonies are superb, and always turn the caption on, cause they use a lot of languages and everytime the member sing their names are on the subtitles too.

Great reaction ladies! Alamat is awesome. However I highly recommend checking out SB19. They are the pioneer of P-Pop. Sb19 is one of the most versatile artist in the music industry rn.
