I'm a grown ass man and I cried at the start when Caitlins mom was buried, cause I know how it feels to lose a parent. This show is one of if not THE best I have ever watched at tugging at your heart strings. The song that is playing (Freya Ridings - “I Can’t Hear It Now”) is so beautiful as well. Its already on youtube too

One fun detail is that you can see the circular outline of what protected Mel and Jayce on the floor of the council chamber at 8:07. Also I didn't know until I caught it in the credits of this episode, but Caitlyn's mom and Renni are voiced by the same person. Both characters gone in one episode.

Talking about Rinni, I think it's a bit ironic and yet somewhat fitting that she was taken out by the same weapon that took her son from her. Same cannon shockblast too. While it didn't unalive her directly, it took her out long enough to Ambessa to finish the job.

The level of disrespect that animation receives in mainstream culture both puzzles and annoys me. I really hate the ignorance, that leaves people to label and dismiss animated properties as only "for children". So many animated properties have delightfully original stories, that are presented in creative and inventive ways. They are as much a work of art as any movie, stage play, or show and they should have just as much respect. One of the things I love about Arcane, is its ability to reach those who are ignorant about the value of animation. It's changing people's perceptions of the medium, and that is nothing but a good thing.

i would personally actually argue (i am biased of course lul) that Animation is probably the MOST artistic medium that exists. Because animating (and especially animating in high quality/framerate/unique style) is SO MUCH WORK. So much effort goes into even low quality animation and i am very confused as to how so many people dont seem to know/appreciate that.

Is no one else willing to call out the fact that Act I of season 2 is not living up to season 1? I'm actually quite surprised - I was expecting something either great or terrible. "Pretty good" surprises me.
