I only learned how to crochet two years ago and am loving learning new designs and stitches. I made the Butterfly blanket for my father just before he died last September. He was so impressed by the design and work in it. Am looking forward to the next installment of the Island Stroll blanket

I am loving working on this blanket! I was wondering if anyone knows of any message or community board that was discussing this project as they were working on it. I have so many questions. For one thing, I noticed that this square is smaller than the ponding lily and Oh I Adore squares. I am using a different yarn, so my measurements don't match exactly (plus sometimes we are given final dimensions in the videos, and sometimes not), but mine should at least be consistent with each other. I'd love to know if this square is just smaller since it's the center or if I've messed something up - and I'd love to know before we get to the part where we turn it into an octagon, so I can make adjustments. Plus I'd just love in general to see other people's experiences and challenges as they went along. The four thumbelinas are also smaller but this concerns me less. If anyone knows of a community discussion anywhere, please let me know! It's such a fun project and I'm sure somewhere out there some people did it together and shared. :)

Hi, thank you for reaching out. All the CAL info is placed on our homepage: www.SistersInStitch.com including the written pattern. ☀️🍃 This square will be slightly smaller than the rest but once added the framing to turn it into an octagon: it will be stretched to the same size as the others. This square has so much texture and overlay crochet in it and therefore it needs to be blocked to reach the right size (which the add on cleverly will help doing so you don’t need to block it before) 😄 The Thumbelinas are in between squares and will not have the octagon framing so they are not suppose to be bigger. They match the sides of the octagons. 🌸🍃 We are most active over at Instagram were we share our pictures, lives and makes together. Hi, yes the hexagon framings are part 8 and 9 of the Island Stroll CAL. They will be released on the 24th of June and 1st of July. 😃🌸🍃
