Do you have a left handed version of this video? If you are left handed, you can convert ANY video on KZbin yourself! Simply go to www.mirrorthevideo.com/ and follow the instructions to mirror flip any video to convert to left handed!
How much yarn will I need? This is a very tricky question to answer as there are so many variables! How much yarn you need will depend on which yarn you choose, the thickness of that yarn, your tension and how large you want your finished project to be. I suggest making a small sample first so you can gauge how much yarn you'll need. If making a crochet square, you can weigh your finished square to work out how much yarn it used!
How many squares do I need for a blanket? That all depends on the size of the square you are making and how big you want your finished blanket to be! I always advise making one square first then measuring the size of it. From there you can work out how many squares you will need to get the blanket size you want 😀
Do you have the written pattern? Yes! I have written patterns to accompany my video tutorials on my website here: www.hookedbyrobin.com The written pattern is generally released a week or so after the video tutorial to ensure there are no errors in the video itself and to make amendments in the written version if any are found. I didn't want to kurb anyones creativity with giving set rules for these squares incase people wanted to join them diagonally or mix them up with solid coloured squares HOWEVER, if you wanted them exactly as they look in the thumbnail, I'd be tempted to either sew them together OR crochet them together at the BACK of the work - you can do any join you'd like though! 😃🧶 You could also keep going and make one large granny square blanket if you prefer? You could experiment with the colour changes to make all sorts of patterns! As for borders, again, I don't like to give set rules so literally ANY border you fancy really!

I learned this pattern from a different KZbin video, but I love how you put 2 chains in the corners instead of 1, I think it helps it lay more flat. Dear Lass, hello. I love the Granny Squares, but I haven't seen it done like this. I have been crocheting over 85 yrs. And those colors. I have been using Red Heart for yrs and they used to have so many colors and then stores stopped selling all those colors. But thankbyou for sharing the yarn with us. I would also love to see it! I have been playing around with continuing it but I am stuck on how to start each new row. Is each new corner meant to be the opposite color? I made these in Xmas colors this past fall, 2022, and varied the colors. I did my own join n two rows around to finish. It turned out awesome. It's my favorite square to make. Lots of compliments. Thank you for sharing .
