I ended up working for a major car manufacturer in Australia doing QC and engine testing for over 20years. Sadly, the industry closed down and im doing any work i can get. These last few years I've been helping a friend out fitting blinds and motorised awnings in residential and commercial properties. So I've been seeing a lot of bad construction around Melbourne, it's worse than these videos are showing. I dread doing a new house, because nothing is even slightly square, which makes our job harder. We are sometimes forced to install blinds out of square to make it look better against crooked window frames. And then there is the issue of using dyna bolts for wire guides. Most of the new homes fall apart when we get the hammer drill out, but any 30year old home is no problem. These young tradies are only interested in their new 4wds and having the radio blaring. I'm getting sick of arguing with people. Im sure there are some good ones out there, but im yet to come across them.

Some may do reasonable work some may even do really good work, but I'll guarantee they are over charging expecting to make enough money every job to buy a couple of Rangers, Rangers they are tax deducting and claiming the wife and kids drive it around for work.

He’s most likely tried to save money on the doors and make them himself. Those doors aren’t rated for water even if they were installed correctly. Simple job gone wrong🤦🏽‍♂️

People tend to get away with things more often than not where it concerns the NDIS. I recall a provider whos job was to organize supports the client needed, whenever a clients plan had funding left but the plan had ended, a bunch of additional supports would pop up to draw down the rest of the funding, basically making up supports that never happened, she was reported for doing this multiple times with plenty of evidence and she got away with it. Along with real estate, the NDIS would be one of the most fraud infested places.

The ppl at the top who make the rules are also corrupt. The lobbyists from all industries from mining, to gambling & alc are all corrupt. These are by products of the elite class society. Homes are overpriced, a deterrent for new buyers, half the builders are corrupt, another deterrent. Deterrents for home buyers causes them to become renters. The elite love them some renters. Especially those good working class who could actually afford a home. The elite would rather the working class rent off them than the poor. So they need working class to stop buying & keep renting. Good tenants. Don’t want those drty poor ppl putting holes in your wall. IMPORTANT: There appears to be two builders on the VBA register with the same name. If you were to report him, I make no comment for or against this action, make sure you have the correct person. His website (while it exists) has his domestic and commercial building licenses which can be cross referenced against his name on the VBA's practitioner check to ensure that the wrong person is not identified. The gentleman in question is a sole trader (with a business name and trading names) and has had his domestic builders license since August 2015 and his commercial builders license since November 2020 (I wonder how much NDIS work he is doing). Curiously, it is difficult to find any ratings of his work after trading for at least 9 years and he has scrubbed his LinkedIn page.

Way back in the 90's, when i was doing my trade in the family business. We specialized in the refraction work after builders had gone bust or could not fix the defects. It hasn't changed one bit the same old story. The homeowners are left completely utterly destroyed and nowhere to turn for help. Good work Site Inspections for going back for free and bring this story to the public. I hope this story comes to a good end for these ladies.

My heart is breaking for this owner, this is beyond appalling. How can anyone do this to someone and sleep at night. Our home is now 12 years old and it was a turn key home, we found so many issues and some were fixed, most weren't. I don't think I could ever go through a build again, it just leaves you so empty knowing how much money you pay and they cut corners cause they just don't care. Hoping for a positive outcome.

That was truly touch and go. It's only the fact that you intercepted the police before they actually spoke to the builder. Otherwise, if you hadn't intercepted them at the gate, and they got to the builder before you spoke to them, the builder would've got them to side with him and they'd then have bullied you into leaving him alone.

For example, their crew needs their safety & welfare protected too. The site risks being sabotaged by competitors, or other haters wishing to sabotage them or their work? Either way, their sites have to be submitted to their own responsibility. The owner is also one, who, within reason, and ensuring their safety is intact, should be respectfully allowed onsite. A successful Lic. builder, who should also be a true construction craftsman, skilled in more than one area, e.g., timber, major tiling/stone/concrete, steel & wrought iron, and fully understand and be capable in fields basic plumbers & electrical, AND DEFINITELY SAVVY WITH THE LAWS INVOLVED.

Usually it's the latter. It's oh so easy to just change your business name and continue when you get complaints, or if you just want to abandon your projects and start over fresh after scamming a few unfortunate souls.

Just like those Joint Venture high rise builds. The company that builds it is dissolved a soon as the project is signed off. There is no legal entity to hold responsible for the defects any more.

Does he get a new identity and then do his 4 year trade apprenticeship then sit the 2 year low rise builders course? The builder should have been open and honest, and said “I fucked up, I made major mistakes, I’m so sorry, let’s confront the issues together and I’ll work on them with your supervision to hopefully get this place as safe as possible for your mother, we can deal with the legal aspects as soon as this is done, or during, but it’s my mistake so I’d like to fix it” Where have these peoples hearts gone? what’s happened to common decency? Do people not care about their names and reputations anymore? I don’t get it. I really really don’t. Aussies are some of the MOST understanding, down to earth, patient, kind people on EARTH I know cos I AM one, it would do a world of good for him to just be fucken honest.
