2009-2011 Expeditions.

During the years 2009-2011 I shot 5 time in Spain.
I shot all the districts of Spain, the first project was to photograph
castles, then I photographed Moorish sites (in Portugal too).
The last interesting and unique expedition was to shoot Jewish
monuments all over Spain.
Castilla Y Leon reign was one of the most fascinating and interesting
regions in Spain.

Totally agree with you. People talk because they can not because they know what they're talking about. People also forget history and its lessons. These days with two huge super powers, the US and China and an instigating Russia, it is much better for each country in the EU to be very tight (united) and for the EU to be stronger than ever to be able to stand up for its values, its economy, and well being of its people. Divisions only make you weaker. But, that is just my opinion.

León and Castille are two regions. joined in a single Comunidad autónoma. Leon was obligued to join it and wants to separate and be a comunidad autónoma itself, like the other spanish regions. It was an imposition from politicians after Franco's death, and it is no idemocratic. There are a lot of protests in Leon but polititians dont want to recognize their mistake and give the región its right.

Most people in Castilla y León are perfectly fine with the region being a join of both regions as we have a really long shared history, comarcas shared between both areas, etc..., there is indeed a minority, mostly in León, who wants it converted into two regions, something people in Zamora and Salamanco do not support in general, just like there are people in el Bierzo who want to separate from León. But you are trying to present a minoritary point of view as if it was an objective true, and it simply isn't.

@@elenar4709 I have lived in León a few years and believe me, most people absolutely reject the union there. In fact, I am sure you will find more people wanting to be Castilian in Madrid, Logroño and Santander than you would in León.

LEON IS NOT CASTILLA. León was a kingdom before Castilla. "Castilla y León" region is a stupid invent.

Pablo Cano Diez Leon is not Castile (nobody said the contrary) actually neither Castile is Leon, but both share the same history, for that reason is Castile & León, Let's leave the "provincial" mentality.

Pablo Cano Diez invent? So, the powerful reign of Castile & León never existed, (according to you)...? After the decline of the reign of Leon arose the strength of the Castillan reign and with the definitive union in 1230 that meant the authentic power Tu conform Castile Crown indeed.

Tú sí que eres un invento. Si vas de Burgos provincia a Cantabria o la Rioja cambia todo, la forma de hablar, la economía el paisaje y los pueblos. Si vas de Burgos a León por la autovía quien nota que entras en León? Ah, si porque la gente de León lo dice. Igualmente puedo yo decir que tu casa es mía. Castilla y León es una región natural, con límites orográficos muy bien definidos y tú empeñado en inventartelos.

@@angelmendez6638 Sí, es tan natural que existe desde 1983 porque le salió a Martín Villa de sus webs morenos. Desde 1833 Castilla La Vieja (8 provincias) y Región Leonesa (3 provincias). Lo actual es un engendro patético hecho a conveniencia que a nadie le importa. Ya lo de que te parezca normal que las provincias de Santander y Logroño sean Comunidades Autónomas sin haber sido nunca ni reinos, ni regiones, ni nada... y te resulte inverosímil la autonomía leonesa ya es directamente el descojone.

Zamora, Soria y Palencia (los conozco) no tienen mucho la verdad, pero Salamanca es para mí la ciudad más bonita de España.

Deckie Deckie - Por ejemplo? En mí opinion ustedes son lo que son ahora en parte por esa gente que trabajo durísimo "amontonando piedras." Todas esa piedras y monumentos tienen un valor extraordinario. Lo que sucede es que algunos ayuntamientos no han sabido aprovechar ese legado histórico. Para algunos de ustedes solo son piedras. Para mí es historia. Esos castillos renovados con una buena jardinería (landscaping) alrededor y adentro serian muy atractivos a los turistas de fuera. Que no les gustan los turistas, pues se podría hacer una combinación de antiguo y moderno en la restauración de algunos castillos y hacerlos funcionales otra vez, poniendo negocios en la primera planta del castillo (panadería, lavandería, bares, restaurantes, bodega o mini supermercado) y en los otros pisos rehabilitarlos para pisos o condominios. Las reformas traerían trabajos mas especializados a cada area desde arquitectos, ingenieros, diseñadores, arquitectos paisajistas, etc... Just an idea. Para eso necesitan inversores, ponerse las pilas y a trabajar.
