The scene of Rogue breaking down, crying in grief with Kurt was genuinely heartbreaking. Apparently, the VA lost her niece around the time of recording. And she said she channelled that into her performance. And you can tell. She sounds like she’s crying in genuine grief, well beyond what you normally hear or expect in TV of movies.

I like that in the original series, Cable met Scott and Jean and was shown not to care either way, and that it’s established retroactively here it’s because Maddie was his mother, not Jean. And it’s a nice touch that Cable looks at his mother’s “twin sister” in her eyes and has to tell himself that she isn’t his mother.

Rogue finally breaking down over Remy got to me…and when the X-men all showed up there to comfort her, I damn near broke down. Zero Tolerance is here! Bastion and Prime Sentinels, NIMROD..the writing for this show is spectacular, with the way they can combine all the X-men stories and tie-ins and make it all run smoothly! And OMG Did Rogue just do the Thundercats Panthro kick (from the opening) on that tank? I love the little homages to past classic cartoons!

I'm surprised noone caught this yet, but there's a Spider-Man reference when they visited Madripoor. The building that they entered, 地平线科技集团 (Pronounced as "di ping xian ke ji ji tuan" in Mandarin), is Horizon Labs, the company that Peter Parker worked in as a research scientist starting from his Big Time era by Dan Slott. You can even see the logo of the company, which is exactly the same as in the comics, on the guards' cap. The writers certainly could have easily gone with Roxxon again, but they must have chosen to use Horizon Labs for a particular reason.

Bastion is a mysterious man named Sebastion Gilberti who had risen to power in a relatively short time in the U.S. Government and began assembling the international anti-mutant strike force Operation: Zero Tolerance (OZT). When the X-Men learned about the existence of OZT some months before the operation became public, Gambit and Phoenix, acting on information, snuck into an OZT meeting being held at the Pentagon to learn more about the program and its leader Bastion, but did not come out with much. Bastion showed that he was more than met the eye as Phoenix could not read his mind and Bastion easily identified the two X-Men hidden among representatives of various foreign intelligence agencies interested in supporting OZT.

I legitimately almost had a brain aneurysm of awesomeness with this episode. From the funeral,to seeing Captain america my favorite hero meet Rogue who is my favorite Marvel babe,to Rogue's rampage ending with meeting Nightcrawler and then that fucking amazing Shot of the xmen reuniting,beast shutting down the reporter again,to Rogue just Dropping Trask like it was nothing to me still wondering who the villian is. Either thats a fake Magneto or this dude pulled something slick to grab Magneto during the Genosha Massacre. He said to Sinister "You the textbook in What NOT TO DO!" OH MY GOODNESS I mean holy crap this episode was awesome.

​@@Charlie_MVK The original series only showed the hand of Spidey in the first episode. Cap was a flashback with Logan. Black Panther was in a foreground shot on a cliff. Hulk was a hologram in the danger room Juggernaut stumbled upon. So no this is the first modern day Cap and Avengers hint. When Cap said a team he is not talking about Dum Dum Dugan and company.
