It’s a very valid point. Equally though, I’m reminded of a phenomenal scene in X2 between Nightcrawler and Mystique: “They say you can imitate anybody. To them, existence alone is "shoving it in their faces". Literally, we see it in the real world: every time a gay character exists in any TV show or movie, the bigots come out in droves yelling "Stop shoving your gayness in my face and down my kids' throats!" Tolerance is not something that must be earned, it is something that others either give you or they don't. And if they choose to deny you it, then they have forfeited any decency in return.

There's an interesting thing where in the 90s, there was a show called Avengers: United They Stand which was, in theory at least, supposed to be in the same universe as X-Men TAS, the Spider-Man show happening at the same time, and other Marvel shows made at the same time. We're still a few years in the timeline of this show before that one was released (1999-2000), but it's something I noticed. Point of order: If ANY of the X-Men try to give Rogue crap for dropping Trask, she should point out the VERY obvious. Morph. Jean. Kurt. All three of them would've been more than capable of saving Trask. They didn't. Yes, Kurt calls her out on it, but he could've BAMF'ed over there and stopped Trask from falling. Morph could have zipped out there as Quicksilver and caught him. Jean lifts a building. They let Trask die because deep down, they agree with Rogue letting him drop.

I liked how these past two episodes have talked about assimilation and tolerance. We examine assimilation from the perspectives of the oppressors (Shi’Ar) and the oppressed (Storm and Forge) only for Xavier to criticize the very idea of making others less so you could be more. Then in this episode we see the X-Men question the very notion of tolerance if it means they have to beg to be seen as people. Scott even talks about Magneto being right about things like the Genosha attack. We’re seeing more signs of the “Cyclops is Right” Scott coming out……and I’m here for it 😏. Rogue going on a rampage was soooo good and we get more examples of Captain America (or other Avengers) being irritating obstacles at best or flat out antagonists at worst in X-Men stories. It’s really a tale of two cities when you see the Avengers in X-Men stories versus their own 😂. It was great seeing Emma get her diamond form secondary mutation just like after the Genosha attack in the comics. Hopefully they do Emma well. Really like that character. Also the voice cast continues to knock it out of the park. Theo James kills it as Bastion.

Bastion is a mysterious man named Sebastion Gilberti who had risen to power in a relatively short time in the U.S. Government and began assembling the international anti-mutant strike force Operation: Zero Tolerance (OZT). When the X-Men learned about the existence of OZT some months before the operation became public, Gambit and Phoenix, acting on information, snuck into an OZT meeting being held at the Pentagon to learn more about the program and its leader Bastion, but did not come out with much. Bastion showed that he was more than met the eye as Phoenix could not read his mind and Bastion easily identified the two X-Men hidden among representatives of various foreign intelligence agencies interested in supporting OZT.

Nice reaction. Beast dated that reporter in the comics. Seems they just don't have the time to get further into that. But they do show they have some kind of relationship. It ends badly in the comics too. Cap Am appearance, is cool too. Showing how even he can't just go do whatever he wants to do. But I do think what he did was a back doorway of slipping Rogue info. He practically handed her the info and still just in case someone was watching covered his tracks. Experience is on his side. But this is some of the things that led to Avengers verse X-Men story. Lastly, I just loved Rogue and Nightcrawler getting to share a private moment together. He went from the happy go lucky Kurt to the wise counseling Kurt in just two episodes. Shows his range of character and both portrayals work for him. Kurt not catching the guy when Rogue dropped him though is a real "Shame Sugar". lol

We'll find out soon enough what Storm's been up to. But considering that Beast once had to fly her away from Earth's atmosphere in the comics when Wolverine was thought to have been killed, encased in adamantium, in order for her to grieve without causing worldwide devastation, we'll give her some time. (though...she took it pretty ok when Jean/phoenix died on the moon). I can't help thinking back to Xavier's vision. The globe was glowing the same color as Gambit's charged objects. He may have seen a glimpse of what happened on Genosha, but also of what's gonna happen. Gambit/Death is going to blow up the planet at some point.

True. Captain America can’t just show up in another country unless there is an outward threat. You risk an international incident or starting a war. When he went to Germany the war already existed. And any other mission he was working as a shield operative to contain a threat (hydra) avengers 2 and Capt 3 are good examples of this. However if no threat exist and he goes rogue or if an enemy is surrendering and he doesn’t give them due process it would not only be an internal incident but also a pr storm.

But we heard the news in the background saying they won't even let them come back to their home countries. Scott said himself like always, they are on their own, no one is going to help him. Captain America had a chance to show the world we are going to do the right thing, help mutants, and save lives. He is choosing not to
