The Sitka is more of an all season base layer. Great wicking layer. The Asio is perfect for the early season. Wore it a lot early and didn’t touch the Sitka until the 2nd week in October for a wicking layer. If you are specifically looking at early season stuff, the Sitka Equinox Guard Hoody is actually my preferred hoodie. The Insect Shield treatment works great. The Asio is definitely in the same league just without insect protection. I hope this helps.

I’ve worn it a few times scouting and it’s much better for the high temps than the Sitka. Still like the Sitka, but not for really hot days.

I’ve been trying to decide on which one of these to get, I hunt in Tennessee and early season is hot, so I think I’ll get the asio, it looked to fit a lot better, I don’t really like tight fitting stuff unless I’m using it strictly as a base layer, thanks for the honest review.

After hunting with the Asio a few additional times later in the season when we had warm days, I really found myself liking it more than the Sitka. It wicks well and dries fast. I kept going back to it and it might fit Tennessee better. I lived in Woodlawn, TN for 14 years and know how hot it is there in the early season.

Love my early season Asio Gear. Extremely comfortable and an amazing pattern to be up in a tree in. Have had deer, pigs, and turkeys look right at me and not get spooked while wearing this stuff in my stand or walking to my stand.

I love the lightweight hoody. Especially after wearing it on 70 degree days in late October this year. I really appreciate how it’s designed now.

I have the sitka lightweight pants and hoodie surprised how I didn't start to sweat in 80 degree weather. The Asio mid-season sherpa pants jacket and heavy hoodie. I get cold easily I've used it so far into 45 degrees keeps you warm. Zippers are louder and material not as quiet as Sitka still really nice.

Yeah, I normally wear a large. I’m short though. 5’8”. 190 lbs. I felt like the Sitka “fit” but the Asio fit a little more loosely if that makes sense.

No I haven’t. I was going to test them together, and probably should have, but I ended up buying a bunch of other things to test instead. Sorry.

The asio zipper sounds extremely loud. Think,the sitka looked to fit better on you. I can see how much looser the asio looks on you

I honestly didn’t notice a difference between the two, but am going to have to pay more attention to it now and see. My microphone was pinned on my chest so that could be the reason it sounds loud. I will see. The Sitka does fit tighter. That being said, the fit of the Asio is much cooler. That tighter fit makes it feel warmer to me. That’s why I think the Sitka can be used all season long, while the Asio seems more like an early season only hoody.

@@theeverydaybowhunter the midweight hoodie and the sherpa jacket and all the pant zippers are alot quiter then sitka and joes whos one my of my good friends would get are family 50% discounts on sitka and sitka is all we would wear and now with the asio i have noticed the zipper in asio is alot quiter
