Nice! I love how you have the chords above the lead parts. Also liked how you talk about how the lead parts highight the harmony that is going on. When it comes to lead guitar harmony is everything

@@SimonMorelguitar Steve Cropper often plays unexpectedly simple phrases and I figure out what he does, but it is often what makes the songs “soulfulest” (as Otis said somewhere), along with the other MG’s parts. Many, many thanks for the great lesson video for the song I’ve been listening to for more than 25 years.

@@SimonMorelguitar done...I'm mostly a death metal player so I'm not familiar with some chords and shapes but I'm intrigued with old fashion licks. Luckily this one was easy along with Soul man, another great song. Yesterday I was also trying by myself to play that kind of 50's serenade with a chord progression like Sleepwalk and discovered a new jazzy chord. Is there anything similar in your channel?

Seems everyone I know is in some stage with this particular song. They all play it on acoustic guitar. Would you address that just a little. Does the acoustic guitar limit what you can do and how well you can do it?
@SimonMorelguitar

Nice one. Thank you Simon. I presume that's the BOSS WL20 transmitter plugged in to your Strat? How do you rate it? Any detectable latency or dropout, etc?
@SimonMorelguitar
@SimonMorelguitar 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Larry, Thanks for watching. I only recently bought the WL20, but it has been excellent so far. I originally bought it purely for my teaching room. I have a screen one side of the room and the music stand on the other and was constantly rolling over cables when teaching. I'd been thinking about the cheaper non-brand ones (I was doubtful) and then Boss put this out. I figured it would be good if it was made by Boss. I have never have any drop outs or latency issues at home. I've done maybe 10-15 gigs with it so far and it's been solid. I have a friend of mine who bought one who hasn't been so impressed gig-wise, but I've got to say this is the best bit of gear I've bought for ages. All the best Simon
