Have you tried using the screen for youtube? I planed on buying the screen separate for video or discord. So was wondering if the screen is sharp enough to enjoy that, and like how does it compare to like maybe your phone screen?
@MindaugasJocionis10 ай бұрын
Screen is pretty decent; it is sharp and has decent viewing angles. Though for KZbin and Discord, I would recommend checking a bigger screen with Full HD resolution. My PC is next to the TV, so I'm using this screen for gauges. It's more like fun to have than very useful. Subscribe, thanks.

you had a lot of space on front (bottom psu) to add a fan, so 3 intake fans and 3 exhaust. The rear fan as intake always looks horrible.

A little later I changed the fans to RGB, added one fan in the front, and switched the rear one to exhaust :) In general, everything is as you described :) Subscribe, thank you.
I see you have Revision 1.0 of the Gigabyte B650M AORUS ELITE AX. Do you notice any coil whine on your motherboard?
@MindaugasJocionis7 ай бұрын
A barely audible coil whine can be noticed in a silent room with fans @ low rpm and an ear next to the PC case. I noticed only because of comments :) Have built another one with rev 1.2, with no noticeable coil whine from MB as well. kzbin.info/www/bejne/f6bHmoOmr5hsp6c Subscribe, thanks.

In my opinion, on stock settings, Arctic should handle it. If you're considering OC with PBO, etc., then only AIO. Subscribe, thanks.

Your card is 2-slot height, while mine is 2.7, so I would say your M.2 card will fit. You will need to route display cables between them through the third slot bracket. Write back; was it successful, and don't forget to subscribe. Thanks.

any reason why u choose ryzen 7900 over 7800x3d? and it is same price as ryzen 7900x right?
@MindaugasJocionis9 ай бұрын
For gaming, the 7800X3D is definitely the better choice. Personally, I need more cores for video editing. Currently, the 7900 is €50 cheaper than the 7900X in my country. And as a bonus, you are getting a box cooler :) I didn't like the idea of 93°C on the CPU in the 7900X, that's why I bought the 7900 and boosted it to nearly 7900X performance with PBO @ lower temps. Of course, you can do the same in the opposite way with the 7900X. So it's just a matter of € and philosophy :))) Subscribe, thanks.

why do you have the back fan put the air in? its better to set the fan the other way..
@MindaugasJocionis Жыл бұрын
The idea was to supply air to the power supply, VRM and the top AIO heatsink. A day ago I changed the fan to an ARGB with an air extraction orientation. Didn't notice any difference at idle :) Although I didn't have time to test long-term gaming to warm up the system to compare. If you're interested, I'll provide feedback in a few days.

Is the power supply hot in there?
@MindaugasJocionisАй бұрын
With my PSU high speed RPM does not kick in, so it should be good. With this case, you'll need a good PSU since it will be drawing in hot air. Cheaper models might become noisy as they struggle to handle high temperatures while operating in low RPM mode. Subscribe, thanks.

@ I have a Chieftec PowerPlay Gold 650W power supply.
@MindaugasJocionisАй бұрын
This is a decent power supply, and you shouldn't encounter any issues with it. For optimal efficiency, aim for your hardware to draw approximately 50% of the PSU's maximum power capacity.

@MindaugasJocionis10 ай бұрын
The idea was to cool VRM with the back fan. Later, I replaced the fans with ARGB and switched that fan to exhaust. No difference noted. Actually, VRM is very well-cooled on this board. Check ARGB version in community tab in my channel page. And don't forget to subscribe, thanks.

@@Fauxdacbeats Nice setup. I believe PBO is enabled by default in BIOS, that's why it jumps to 90c. I have done undervolt offset with maximum boost clock (don't remember exactly it was long time ago) and locked temp to 85c. In cinebench got almost 7900x score.

Imagine building an expensive pc just to play in 1080p like the ps3 days.
@justwinclassic Жыл бұрын
My dude, so many games on PS3 were 720p
@Diogenes77 Жыл бұрын
@@justwinclassic you missed the point didn't you, buddy? 1080p was the standard 15-20 years ago. 4K is the current standard and anything less is unacceptable. 8K should be the current standard for wealthy people. I just don't understand why the gaming community refuses to move on from a resolution that's two decades old at this point.
@justwinclassic Жыл бұрын
@@Diogenes77 nothing can run 8K at anything worthwhile right now, even the 4090 cannot do it reliably. PC community still uses GPUs which are only applicable for 1080 or at best, 1440 resolution. There’s a reason consoles outsell PC significantly and there’s a reason the overwhelming majority of PC players have very old technology in their PCs. Normies will more than likely associate 4K or higher with PS5 or XSX, simply because it is marketed toward their massive tvs. Your comments are facetious and completely miss the point that it’s nothing like the ps3 days. People play at 300+ FPS on 1080 or 1440 with this kind of hardware. Massive difference to the 30fps 720p ps3 days.
@Diogenes77 Жыл бұрын
tl;dr the gaming community needs to evolve from 1080p. I played Crysis in 1080p in 2006 with two 8800gts in SLI. The fact that 1080p is still regarded as the universal standard is an absolute joke. 4K is the current standard but very soon it'll be 8K. Nvidia's next RTX should be able to run 8K at 60fps as the 4090 gets approx 40fps. Yet gamers are still playing in 1080p, it's ridiculous.
@MindaugasJocionis Жыл бұрын
Well, I still play on my 10-year-old 1080p TV from time to time. (Usually, I play 1080p + vsync in silence :) ) It's probably time to buy a new one. However, this rig will not be powerful enough to run games @ 4k resolution. (I mean with ray tracing). This one can barely handle Alan Wake 2 1080p+FSR with RT. It is impossible to play in native 1080p with RT on this card. And yes it's time to move to 4k, but starting point for this is RTX4090
