A welcome reminder that all art, all endeavour toward creation, is iterative among many. Sometimes, I shy away from letting myself absorb too much of the work of others, but that is ludicrous. That thread that connects this chain of creation or that is necessary and sacred.

Really enjoy your videos, your lovely voice and your generosity of spirit. Beautiful work. I'm 64 and only discovered I had some drawing talent about 10 years ago when I sat down in front of an old cave bear skull, and was lost for weeks trying to follow with my pencil every pit and ravine in the ancient bone. You are my greatest inspiration of all time. I wanted to make hyperrealstic art and also add fantasy to it. But I did not know how to do it so I kept searching for artists of similar intrest. And after a year or two of searching I came across your channel. You are exactly what I am interested in. And in between my search I practiced a lot. And when I completed my first art piece which took me a month( though I could not add any fiction) after getting inspird by you. I was satisfied to the greatest extent.

WOW. I had such a great time watching this video and hearing about your inspirations. I followed each of them on Instagram and so glad I did! I've been drawing since I was a kid, went to art school, etc. Then I became a social worker and life changed. Fortunately, I suddenly got pulled back to drawing a few years and ago and now I'm getting more serious about my art than I have ever been. It's a little tough managing it alongside my work as a social worker, but I'm achieving a balance, I think. I have been so inspired and excited by your videos and work and I'm super stoked that I found your channel and Instagram. And I love that your mama was included in your list. What a gift!!!

Waterhouse, Norman Rockwell, Gil Elvgren, Manet, Caesar Santos, Andrew Tischler, Harley Brown, Vladimir Volegov and Boris Valejo. As you can see, I draw inspiration from a lot of different styles, but they really motivate me. You've motivated me to delve deeper into my charcoal drawings. I can’t believe that’s your mom. I have to say I’m really jealous. You are a perfect example of where alot of us could be with the right mentors. Some of the artists here have been featured in Hi-Fructose along with other artists who do surrealistic and large scale detailed pieces. One that fascinates me is Laurie Lipton. Although her work is a little too macabre and dystopian for me it does personify large scale detail and compelling mystery. I think that alot of us aspire to do things on a bigger and bigger scale to have more impact but part of appreciating a larger thing is to appreciate the smaller parts that make it up. Every element of the whole is equally as important as the whole itself.
