all i can i like a variety of sounds i am always looking to grow, find a break through, have one of those days where i feel like my practicing and playing was productive and hybrid picking is already doing that , i have been trying to play for years with some success, strumming song writting but this winter i have grown a lot and hope the trend continues @@MaxRichMusic

Personally I use a Jazz III XL and a Wegen Gypsy pick…but everyone has their own preferences. This video gives some tips on what you want out of a pick: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iYPMpYuVdritbKs

Nice lesson, Max. One question, do you have your nails grown out, are you using the flesh of the fingers or nails for the strings?

I have them partially grown out because I play classical guitar as well. I'd like to have them fully grown but with hybrid picking on a steel string it just isn't possible.

Hey Max, thanks for this, this is great. I’m not sure the position of my right hand is correct, it looks like what you’re doing but my middle finger insists on picking with the upper side of the fingernail rather than the ball of the finger. Is it supposed to be like that? I can’t see how else the middle finger can pull the string when the pick is perpendicular to the strings. I haven’t found any vids discussing how to position the hand/ wrist correctly and I want to get it 100% right from the start. Thanks mate!
