I was so fortunate to have lived in "Town" in 96&97.When we would be playing on L.B.,every musician on break would haul butt down to Robert's to watch and listen to Johnnie.I met him on one of their breaks and asked him if he gave lessons.I asked how much he charged and he said "Just bring your guitar over and we'll go from there" My jaw literally hit the floor.....& my dumb self moved back to Texas about 2 months later without ever taking him up on the lessons. How much do I regret that? Any guitar player can answer that question. I am so blessed to have gotten to meet both Johnnie and Redd. Those guys have forgotten more than I could ever learn.
